I do not like to fly. I do not like the hassle of the airports. I do not like the fact that the seats and surrounding personal space has shrunk since the days I worked in the airline industry and loved loved loved to fly. This trip to and from New Orleans w...

G'nite, all
so odd to think I'm going to bed this evening, 9/11/2016, with a feeling of excitement about what tomorrow will bring.  It will bring the beginning of a week I've long looked forward to.  A week with friends in a fascinating city, attending a convention tha...

I've never been a gal who has been considered "cool." Coolness just doesn't connect with my brain.  So to try to pretend any level of cool just makes me look ridiculous.  Instead, I'm that gal who will hoot loudly, squeal at a level that will shatter eardru...

There's nothing more fun than happening upon the perfect bookstore while on vacation. When we discovered Quarter Moon Books, it made an already delightful vacation just perfect. It's warm and welcoming and fun. A terrific selection of books along with gifts that any reader would be happy to find. A beautiful selection of natural fiber clothing and sterling jewelry. I can't wait to get back.

These are the most aggressive people in the world. They may as well remove the price sheet they have on the front desk because the manicurists will not let you get out of there with what you request. They push and push and push until you finally give in just to make them shut up.
