I just wrote a new article for my blog. Reflections on the importance of confession, inspired by Proverbs 28:13.
Confession is the first step to freedom. Before we can live the victorious Christian life, we have to admit that we are failing. More importantly, we need to admit to God where and how we are faili…

Here's a reflection I wrote yesterday, for Good Friday. Lent is a great time to do a little "spiritual inventory" and ask ourselves, "Which disciple will I act most like when being a Christian becomes difficult?"

http://bible.com/100/col.4.5-6.nasb Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.

A reflection about St. Joseph, the husband of Mary and the man who helped her raise our Lord and Savior.
There’s a part of the Christmas story that seldom gets told. It involves someone overshadowed by Mary and Jesus and the shepherds and the star and the stable and the manger and the angels and the wise men.

Author points out that suicide is a (fatal) symptom of depression. If we wait until the person is suicidal before addressing the disease, we've waited too long. It is time to eliminate the stigma associated with depression so that lives can be saved.
“Robin Williams didn’t die from suicide. I only just heard the sad, sad news of Robin Williams’s death. My wife sent me

When one believer has admitted his sins to another, they should pray for deliverance and for the power to resist temptation. Confession is the first step to repentance, restoration, and deliverance. Your prayers are the greatest tool you have to bring this to fruition.

"At no time during his earthly ministry did Jesus tap into his divine power to know or do anything. Instead, he always operated out of his humanity."
Of course, it would be easy to think we could no more follow Jesus' example than we could follow the example of Superman. After all, Jesus was fully God an

Stay away! Do not even go if you receive a gift certificate. I received a gift certificate in a raffle and went to receive my free introductory massage. After the massage, I was given a high-pressure sales pitch to sign up for a one-year membership that would cost $69.99/month. I declined the offer and did not sign the contract. Still, they have started billing my checking account, using the debit card number that they required "in case I did not show up for my appointment without cancelling." Worst "freebie" I ever received.
