Hello everyone,

I ask you to take moment, participate and then spread this message across your email, and of course, Google+

In celebration of World Water Day, Shell FuellingChange™ is offering all registered users 50 Bonus Votes to allocate to the environmental projects of their choice found on Voting closes Thursday, March 29.

I would ask you to support any project, but as it is local to me in the General Toronto Area the Songbird Meadows Project is where I will direct your attention.

The Conservation Halton Foundation is working to raise $50,000 through Shell's FuellingChange™ contest to create new wetland and grassland areas at Glenorchy with its Songbird Meadows Project. This initiative will create 38 acres of grassland/wetland habitat that will benefit rare songbirds like the Eastern Meadowlark, Bobolink, Savannah Sparrow and many others.

More informationcan be found at this link:

Please use your bonus votes!

It's easy, it took me less than 3 minutes:
1. Copy the Bonus Code from this post.
2. Click on: to log into your existing account or to register for a new account.
3. Click on "Redeem Votes" and paste the Bonus Code in the appropriate field.
4. Vote for your favourite environmental projects.

Please feel free to share this Bonus Code with your family, friends and associates. They can follow the same process and also receive 50 Bonus Votes to help support environmental projects benefiting the long term quality of our planet's land, air and water.

During his days as Harvard’s influential president, Charles W. Eliot made a frequent assertion: If you were to spend just 15 minutes a day reading the right books, a quantity that could fit on a five foot shelf, you could give yourself a proper liberal education. The publisher P. F. Collier and Son loved the idea and asked Eliot to assemble the right collection of works.

Now that is a photo. Absolutely amazing
In a recent discussion on 'caring for your photographic subject' led by +Patrick Di Fruscia, +John Paul Caponigro responded with (what I believe) is an incredibly insightful message. I hope he won't mind me quoting him here (if so, let me know and I'll happily delete this post). I just thought this should be seen by more photographers. I'm also very honored to have been asked to participate in the original discussion, with such talented photographers as peers.

"I look at three aspects of work simultaneously - content (mind), form (body), and feeling (emotion). All images have all three aspects. An artist works with and the viewer responds to all three simultaneously yet it's useful to look at them separately to find out how each contributes to the total effect/outcome. Identifying which is strongest will tell us a lot about the nature of the work and thus the intent of the artists. Each aspect does something different for the viewer. Form arrests attention. Content informs. Feeling motivates. Caring about a subject is important first for the artist and later for the viewer. It answers the question, "Why this subject above all others?" The nature of the appeal (a balance of three aspects) will help shape/guide the experience and reaction/response."

Today the Wall St. Journal reports that Google is working on a “home-entertainment system that streams music wirelessly throughout the home and would be marketed under the company’s own brand.” They don’t mention the name of the device, but a separate source tells us it is being called Android Hub.The Journal also says that people briefed on the company’s plans think Google’s box may stream other digital media besides music and they expect it to be unveiled later this year. It may be presented at Google IO from June 27-29.
