Today the Wall St. Journal reports that Google is working on a “home-entertainment system that streams music wirelessly throughout the home and would be marketed under the company’s own brand.” They don’t mention the name of the device, but a separate source tells us it is being called Android Hub.The Journal also says that people briefed on the company’s plans think Google’s box may stream other digital media besides music and they expect it to be unveiled later this year. It may be presented at Google IO from June 27-29.

In celebration of World Water Day, Shell FuellingChange™ is offering all registered users 50 Bonus Votes to allocate to the environmental projects of their choice found on www.fuellingchange.com. Voting closes Thursday, March 29.
I would ask you to support any project, but as it is local to me in the General Toronto Area the Songbird Meadows Project is where I will direct your attention.
The Conservation Halton Foundation is working to raise $50,000 through Shell's FuellingChange™ contest to create new wetland and grassland areas at Glenorchy with its Songbird Meadows Project. This initiative will create 38 acres of grassland/wetland habitat that will benefit rare songbirds like the Eastern Meadowlark, Bobolink, Savannah Sparrow and many others.
More informationcan be found at this link: http://www.fuellingchange.com/main/project/233/Songbird-Meadows-grassland-and-wetland-habitat-creation-in-Ontario
Please use your bonus votes!
BONUS CODE: t73-tIIse5H
It's easy, it took me less than 3 minutes:
1. Copy the Bonus Code from this post.
2. Click on: www.fuellingchange.com to log into your existing account or to register for a new account.
3. Click on "Redeem Votes" and paste the Bonus Code in the appropriate field.
4. Vote for your favourite environmental projects.
Please feel free to share this Bonus Code with your family, friends and associates. They can follow the same process and also receive 50 Bonus Votes to help support environmental projects benefiting the long term quality of our planet's land, air and water.
Thanks in advance, we have a great community here, please remember to +1 (and Vote!) and lets see how much awareness we can raise.
"I look at three aspects of work simultaneously - content (mind), form (body), and feeling (emotion). All images have all three aspects. An artist works with and the viewer responds to all three simultaneously yet it's useful to look at them separately to find out how each contributes to the total effect/outcome. Identifying which is strongest will tell us a lot about the nature of the work and thus the intent of the artists. Each aspect does something different for the viewer. Form arrests attention. Content informs. Feeling motivates. Caring about a subject is important first for the artist and later for the viewer. It answers the question, "Why this subject above all others?" The nature of the appeal (a balance of three aspects) will help shape/guide the experience and reaction/response."

If you are a strong advocate of social networks like myself :) (maybe a bit too much) and are interested of course, join me on all these great networks. It would be great to connect there as well. Have a beautiful weekend everyone.
In the years following the turn of the 19th century, experiments such as Young’s double slit experiment began to show that very simple elementary phenomena lead to conflicting conceptual understandings of the world around us. The simple picture of reality which we had prior to this time was simply no longer correct at a fundamental level. At a large level, at a gross scale, most of these effects disappear. Yet when one looks with great precision and subtlety, the nature of reality itself is called into question in a fundamental way. There is a new kind of order that exists. It’s not that one goes from conceptualizing an ordered universe to a classical universe to a chaotic and disordered universe. The order we are seeking is simply arising in a new and more subtle way during our ongoing scientific investigation into Quantum Mechanics.
I don't understand it, myself, but I'm under the impression that qubits work by taking a logical statement and evaluating that statement in a way that more than one scenario is possible at the same time. For example, take a 2qubit statement, which holds 4 simultaneous possibilities, and I ask the computer what corner of the room I am standing (N, S, E, W). In traditional computing, only one scenario is possible, therefore, it has to run the simulation 4 times, in order to evaluate which of the 4 possibilities is correct. A 2 qubit system would only need to run the simulation once. It's closer to how the human mind works:
Computer: Is the subject in the North corner? No. Is the subject in the South Corner? No. Is the subject in the East corner? Yes. Is the Subject in the West corner? No.
Quantum 2-qubit: Is the subject in the N, S, E, W corner? The subject is in the East corner.
In addition, if I added, NE, NW, SE, SW, to my question, the computer would need to evaluate 8 loops, the quantum would need to evaluate 2 loops.
Computers can only process one thing at a time. They might be very fast (able to evaluate trillions of things per second), but it is a single stream. You can double the stream by doubling the processors, and so on. In quantum computers, doubling the processors increases the computing potential exponentially.
If I submit your question "Is the subject in the North corner?" to our computer one day, the answer will be:
100% possibility East corner;
0% possibility West corner;
0% possibility North corner;
0% possibility South corner;
Here some guideline for you:
Quantum computing is not Magic, it is only proceeding algorithms with the quantum properties (which is the most interesting part of it, NOT the Macro world) offering possible endings.
a step further 3 qubits should grant you 8 possibilities, so with 3 you ask once for n, s, e, w,ne,nw,se,sw
at 9 qubits, you'd be able to ask it orientation relative to you in degrees.
in 33 qubits you should be able to ask where something is in the US and get an answer withing 1 square mile after a single pass. within the square inch after 2.
with those same 33 you could get micron level position reporting in 3 passes for a global reference system. of course someone would have to figure out how to encode the surface for the earth into quantum bits.
so if we have and this is way out in left field, a 7ghz 33qubit machine you could update the location of every human on the planet every 3 seconds. That's accurate enough for traffic prediction and wreck analysis.
