Check out Houston's newest (and oldest) boutique hotel, The Whitehall Houston!
Built and originally opened as the Hotel America in 1963, the historic downtown hotel was soon renamed The Whitehall to reflect its famed Italian white marble floors. As the first four-star hotel in Texas, The Whitehall was designed by the renowned Los Angeles architecture firm, Welton Becket and Associates, designer of The Beverly Hilton, the Capitol Records Building, the Dorothy Chandler Center and Disney’s Contemporary Resort In California as well as Reunion Tower in Dallas. The Whitehall quickly became Houston’s most iconic hotel and remained so until shutting its doors in 1991.

Twenty-five years later, we celebrate bringing history back to life….
Come experience the excitement yourself
