Hey Jade, It took me more than 3 years of experimenting with various diets, and exercises on my body before I could see some progress. I think every body is different and needs some experimenting to find the best exercise and diet. Any advice I give may not work for you. For exercises I am currently doing THT (targeted hypertrophy training) which is freely available online. As for diet I eat 3 big mostly clean meals a day with lots of protein. I will write another blog post detailing my diet. But in general my advice is to lift heavy, eat a lot and rest well.
