The best part about winning an award? It totally gives you license to photobomb anyone you like. I'm going to see if this still works a few days afterwards. My hypothesis is: an Oscar-like award engenders trust in both photographers and photographees regardless of whether they know what the award is for/from. Now, time to science!

Alaska's first Hackathon was a success!  Two of the apps are being picked up by government entities (the Anchorage Muni and the State Dept of Labor) and one of them has generated interest from the community!

Awesome tech based Kickstarter project from the crazy kids that invented the dual screen laptop at gScreen.  Help an arctic entrepreneur out and kick in a few bucks for the next generation mouse pen thingy-ma-bob.

Nice to have all of the reasons to hate the TSA available in one well organized visual.

In my head this program involves an angry Drill Sargent that runs into the dorm rooms at random intervals and tries to get the coders to do push-ups with limited success. I think I might have the next hit Discovery Channel show on my hands...
