Me, my husband and my daughter went to this location for Mother's Day and all I have to say is despite of the madhouse the place was, our hostess Kim was not only accommodating and fast, she was the BEST! Very personable and had us laughing the whole time while still staying professional. We will be back and had not one complaint about the service we received. Kim truly made my Mother's day memorable.

I love this place! Great food, prices are reasonable for what you get and the staff is generally a lot of fun! It's absolutely the best place if you love crab!

Food was 3.5 stars, service was 1.5 stars. Wife had Crab legs and LOVE them, I had the ribs and had to get something else. Very dry and overcooked. Ribs shouldn't be microwaved! Cheeseburger was decent. Nothing I couldn't make at home. Management was accommodating and comped my ribs.

Horrible service, over priced and poor quality. Do not, I REPEAT DO NOT Eat here!! The Malibu Shrimp weren't flavored at all like coconut, or anything for that matter. The steam ($30.00) pot had the worst lobster tail, quite chewy, crab was alright, shrimp was just ok. Funny that the best part of the pot was the sausage..... its a seafood place. The crab dip was DELICIOUS. Waitress was M.I.A., the staff had a "ghetto" attitude cursing loudly amongst each other. The lady next to us had to complain about her shrimp too. The manager wasn't to professional with either of us but she did remove my entree from the bill. We will never go to a "Joe's crab shack" again!!!!

I am with another person that commented, why be disappointed and write a review about how bad the rib or burger was at a Seafood place? Then mention how your partner loved the seafood. On top of it give it a low star after they took yours back and gave you something else? Also, why give a one or two star when your meal was free? It wasn't to your liking, they took care of it, then your comeback is you will never go there again and rate it a single star? I love Joe's Crab Shack and there hasn't been an issue anytime I have went. Looked at the reviews because of thinking of heading out there today, seems it's still a good place to eat, they just have some ungrateful customers who shouldn't write a review.

I love this place. The king crab pot is awesome and the seafood nachos are huge and amazing. I also love the pina colada which is served in a pineapple and the crabby apple dessert. If you love crab/seafood, you will be in paradise. Also they make it really fun if you are celebrating a birthday. The prices are also very good for everything, especially considering all the crab you get. This is the only place for crab in metro detroit, period.

Slow and bad service (despite a near empty dining room) and inedible food. Expensive for the clearly microwaved frozen food. I'd rather have my nipples blowtorched off than come back here again.

We each had a bucket of steamed Crab, Shrimp, Sausage, potatoes & corn. The service was great and so was the food.
