Think it’s too early for a spring startup? Guess again.  Preparing your irrigation system for the cold weather will make your system startup a lot easier.  By now, you’ve probably had your irrigation system winter-ready by blowing out and draining the water from the system.  Once the warmer months approach, begin with a check to detect leaks and major breaks from the freezing ground.  It’s also important to activate every valve in every zone to ensure all sprinklers are rotating and popping up properly.  Finally, reevaluate your lawn and reset your controller schedule for the new season!

Curious about matched precipitation rate sprinkles and nozzles?  K-Rain has the answer!  Matched precipitation sprinklers have flow rates that are proportional to the degree of arc, or area covered.  For instance, the flow rate of a quarter-circle sprinkler is equal to one-quarter of the flow rate of a full-circle sprinkler.  Matched precipitation sprinklers with different arcs can even be used on the same zone, unlike unmatched.
Check out K-Rain’s water saving adjustable rotary nozzles that deliver outstanding coverage and matched precipitation across every arc and radius.  http://www.krain.com/adjustable-pattern-rotary-nozzle.html

Selecting a sprinkler is a crucial element of planning your irrigation design.  It depends on the size, shape, and types of the turf or shrubs nearby, the amount of water and pressure available, soil characteristics, and many other conditions of the landscape.
