I reworked my app to use cardslib, pretty much everywhere where there used to be a normal list view.

The users seem very happy so far -- in fact I've been "email bombed" overnight with people saying how much nicer the UI is with this change.

Thanks to +Gabriele Mariotti for the awesome library.

I will probably never see these in my corner of the world, but if any of you in the US picks up a bottle I'd love to hear about it.
Spirits giant Diageo announced recently their latest whiskey addition: the Orphan Barrel Whiskey Distilling Company. The brand's goal is to locate lost and forgotten barrels of whiskey from around the world...

Well, we probably never see 'em in Holland anyway and they're way to expensive imho. Did order a Whistlepig rye though... sounds great and reasonable price.

From the Apple's guidelines for using the "Available on the app store" badge:

"If the badge appears with badges that represent other platforms, place the App Store badge first."

I think I'm going to reorder my App Store and Play badges just out of spite for that unreasonable little piece of arrogance.

Is there a good way to programatically show and hide the CardExpand area? I need to do this in response to a sensor event, rather than to a user action.

Currently I've got a dummy 0-size View that's set as the ViewToClickToExpand for the card. I invoke "performClick" on this after checking isExpanded() to find the current state.

Unfortunately this is race-condition prone, as mExpanded isn't updated until after the expand/collapse animation is performed.

Is there any other way you can think of to achieve this better?

I'm having a little issue that I can't figure out: when using the new rounded overflow button. It is in a continuously "active" or "focused" state on the Nexus 5 and only on the Nexus 5.

If I use the old square overflow icon, it works fine. If I use any other phone/tablet, it works fine.

This isn't a problem with 4.4, as my Nexus 7 running 4.4 doesn't seem to have this issue.

I can't see any reason for this in the cardslib code, and I'm not overriding any style other than the card background colour.

Using cardslib snapshot (1.1.1) from sonatype repo, but this problem is the same in the stable version also.

Any ideas?

Jellybean on my Galaxy Nexus, impressions:

* The smoothness and responsiveness improvements make a real difference. Absolutely awesome.
* I like that the "Recent Apps" list now expands from the thumbnail into the app (you'll understand if you use it). A small thing, but shows attention to detail.
* Google Now... is OK so far. It predicted my need to drive home from work on Friday and alerted me to traffic conditions, although it's also done the same thing for going to work on the weekend (which I don't). Weather is working, but not much else.
* Addresses in the Calendar app don't easily link to Google Maps (still). Wish they'd add this -- it's in the web versions.
* New rich notifications are busy, but powerful and useful.
* New G+ app is better, I really didn't like the photo-text stream from the previous version.
* Voice recognition is much better than it was. Faster and more accurate. I might now actually use it from time to time!
* Battery life seems better when running WiFi, bluetooth, GPS etc. etc.

This is coming from a custom ICS ROM with better than stock smoothness and battery life already, so users of stock ICS will notice the improvements even more.
