Fascinating article about a man with an incredibly rare and valuable blood. Not only was the science interesting (I had no idea these variations existed), but so were the ethical issues. People are not paid for their blood due to concerns of promoting dangerous practices, so if this man wants to help people he not only had to give his blood, he has to pay for the donation expenses out of his own pocket...

Want to survive the impending Ebola apocalypse? Do you fancy Vermont? Are you nice and fertile? Then get yourself to Boston before this guy is snapped up!

Posting a screencap as I bet this listing will disappear shortly, but until it does you can find it at: https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/m4w/4716807484.html

It turns out there is Ebola in Mesa... an Ebola Avenue! Who the hell named a street Ebola? And it also reminded me of one of my favorite 80s songs (Eddy Grant - Electric Avenue), so here you go....

*EBOLA AVENUE*
_Now in the street there is sneezing
An' an' not a damned thing to be done
No place to get a vaccine shot
An' an' I can't say this sounds fun

Oh no, we gonna rock down to Ebola Avenue
And our fever will get higher
Oh we gonna rock down to Ebola Avenue
And our fever will get higher

Freakin' so hard like a baby
This thing sounds worse than TB
Deep in my heart I am a 'fraidy
Can't get hazmat suits for my kid

Good God, we gonna rock down to Ebola Avenue
And our fever will get higher
Oh we gonna rock down to Ebola Avenue
And our fever will get hiiiiiiiigher_

These Outlaw Reading club shirts are pretty sweet. They're a product of the talented yet twisted +Patrick McLean, and worth a look if you take reading to be a deadly serious endeavor.

One of the most amazing, beautiful aspects of the internet is how ideas can get reworked in entirely new and creative ways. This artist takes videos amateur musicians upload to YouTube and remixes them into totally originally songs. He has a whole series of them, and since I found them on Reddit I've been gorging my ears on them.

And maybe since I'm still a little soft headed from vacation this struck me as one of my weird Life Metaphors. You never know how your actions will impact someone else or possibly be part of something bigger that you ever dreamed. So throw your work out there and see where it leads!
