- And BO was a community organizer. Sigh.2w
He sure was. The last thing he was working on, and the free electricity thing had the government up in arms bc they foresaw a huge negative economic impact in not charging for so essential a utility when money could be made from it. Tesla did not trust government as far as he could throw it.2w
- oh I see,it's all about business matters.The Government point of view,thank you ✌2w
That's not what I meant at all, Zenaida. Sorry i wasn't clearer. Governments are both necessary and dangerous, and more often than not, untrustworthy. But we can't get by without them. One of the last things Tesla worked on was an energy source that was more powerful than atomic energy. He safeguarded this work by storing different components of his prototypes in different locations; then he chapterized its documentation and gave it to different trusted friend's, none of whom knew each other. He did this because he was afraid the government would use his discovery to create a superweapon. He was absolutely right to hide this work.
Regarding the government charging for an essential utility, I think that is wrong. Very wrong. But the government sees free electricity as a terrible waste of potential revenue. Tesla was far more humane and far more intelligent than anyone in govt. and governments tend to see that kind of person as a threat. That's ironic because, personally, I think it's very likely that government did him in, for a number of reasons--all self serving.2w
