Newborn giant planet grazes its star
http://klou.tt/kguxktijlnsm
For the past 20 years, exoplanets known as 'hot Jupiters' have puzzled astronomers. These giant planets orbit 100 times closer to their host stars than Jupiter does to the Sun, which increases their surface temperatures. But how and when in their history did they migrate so close to their star? Now, an international team of astronomers has announced the discovery of a very young hot Jupiter orbiting in the immediate vicinity of a star that is bar...

Here's Really Where #Zika #Mosquitoes Are Likely In The U.S., and it's not everywhere afterall.

A few months ago, health officials published a map that made it look like a big part of the U.S. was at high risk for Zika. Now they've released a new map that paints a very different picture.

I found the center of the universe and stood on (not in) it, plus other points of interest in an interesting place
I found the midpoint of the famous Route 66 .  It's in Tulsa, OK.  I'm not sure what qualifies this at the midpoint, but yet, here it is. I've also found the center of the universe and stood on (not in) it.  Yup, it's also in Tulsa, OK.  Imagine the coincid...

More Details Have Been Revealed About Those #RogueOne Reshoots - no crisis - #starwars http://io9.gizmodo.com/more-details-have-been-revealed-about-those-rogue-one-r-1779744810
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story won’t be released for almost seven months, and yet it’s already the talk of fans everywhere. Today, lots of that talk was about a New York Post article saying the film was “in crisis” and needed “expensive reshoots.” A new report now adds some much-needed detail to those claims.

First, this review is for my last visit for dinner at this location a couple years ago. Hopefully both the quality and service has improved since then. I had a couple of enjoyable brunches at this location prior to this bad experience, so that's why this review is 2 stars instead of one. This restaurant is more upscale in terms of pricing, ambiance and menu. However, I found the quality of food itself has been lacking, at least for dinner. The worse Filet Mignon dish I've ever had was served to me here. The cut was ordered medium-well. Although there was some pink in the middle, the meat was so dry, it was uneatable. It was like chewing on leather. I had to spit out my first bite. When a complaint was made, the manager took a long time to arrive. When he finally did arrive, he seemed confused about what to do. The meat appeared to be technically cooked to the correct level, but the quality of the cut was very poor. The manager could not guarantee the replacement would not yield any better results. Based on this and the length of time it was taking dishes to arrive from the kitchen, I refused any replacement. This seemed to further confused the manager. I guess they've have a loyal following that is willing to accept poor quality and slow kitchen service without complaint? Although the manager eventually offered to remove the item from the bill, the whole endeavor made for a very unenjoyable evening. I never returned.

Although the wait staff and manager were excellent in service and addressing complaints, the quality of food just doesn't live up to any expectations whatsoever, especially for the prices. Even if prices were half as much, I would still have to question whether they might be charging too much based on the quality of the food. For example, I had the ribs, which where so dry, I was not able to pick the meat off the bone. Pasta we had always much better.

The food is inline with the prices, so it's good, but only an OK value. The big downside of this location is the lack of chairs in the dining area. I'm guessing they did this to discourage use of the area by patrons. Lame. Might be acceptable if it was in a mall or something or if they noticably lower prices to reflect the savings of not actively maintaining the dining area. However, this store requires most local patrons to drive to the location. Any place where local traffic has to drive to get there shouldn't have even considered the idea of not providing chairs for the dining area tables.
