Any chance for Nitrodesk Touchdown support?  Only reason I'm not using this gorgeous widget!

Well, that proves it is possible :)
We'll look into that, but can't promise to support it.

Our recent article (I'm co-first author) about a novel drug target for blocking airway mucus production was just recommended by F1000.

A tremendous achievement of great importance. While it's very trendy to dismiss mouse models for not being human, mice still represent one of the best understood organisms in terms of genetics and immunology. These new genomes will help researchers find genes and mechanisms behind human diseases. Kudos to the Mouse Genomes Project on their publications and the work itself.

To go with the one about how 640k is enough RAM. Note -- the method is still very handy and valuable, and the paper a good piece of science. But the below is funny:

"One approach to high-throughput genotyping of SNPs is to type multiple polymorphisms one individual at a time with high-density oligonucleotide hybridization arrays (Wang et al. 1998). The capacity of the first commercially available array is limited to 1500 SNPs. It will be a problem to increase this number of SNPs as the simultaneous (multiplex) PCR amplification required will become increasingly laborious and difficult to control."

The latest Illumina human genotyping array (Omni5) has 4.3 million fixed and an additional 500,000 custom SNPs per array.

When considered in light of the major failures in target-based drug discovery approaches for new anti-TB meds, the identification of this drug using a biologically relevant phenotypic screen in TB infected macrophages is yet another example of the strengths of Phenotypic Drug Discovery.

XML is killing me. Actually, it's probably broader than that -- markup languages and ontologies, while very good for making sure every little bit of data is related, and how they are related is explained as clearly as possible, make finding the exact bit of data you want difficult, unless you have some XML parsing juju around. Which I don't. So mapping from compound plate/location is becoming a tremendous hassle.
