The Techulhu raises issues of honor in engineering, and what could be more apt than an engineering honor society for an "invention" themed portal? #SAVEPI #TS-MORPHEUS

Was actually (IRL) just asked to review a paper on the potential use of exotic matter in weapons of mass destruction. This is quite possibly the most +Ingress thing ever to happen to anyone.

(Yes, this is one of those spammy "journals," but still. +Devra Bogdanovich, this isn't one of your papers, is it? Seems more like something +Oliver Lynton-Wolfe would come up with, frankly, but I don't think he's been publishing much of late.)

Fellow Agents: Apologies if I missed this in the FAQ or Help, but what is the consensus on how to handle portal candidates that are inside buildings? Some submissions seem like they might be viable if I could verify them, but Google is often little help in this regard - usually, one cannot tell whether the object even exists, much less if one can get to it. That's clearly a "1" on location, but it's hard to evaluate whether the object "should be a portal" if one doesn't know whether it is fraudulent. (Yes, in principle the location and the "should be" are separate, but in fact they are not. The obvious example would be attempted couch portals, where some exotic object photo maps to someone's house.) I don't want to discard what might be cool and accessible historical or artistic objects, but it seems problematic to give 5 stars to something that might be invented. (FWIW, I have often been 3-starring them, and putting a note in the additional comments. But a clear policy would be helpful.) Thanks!

Where did Ingress take me today? The US capital, where RES and ENL fought for control of Dupont Circle even as the lunar shadow passed over. Fortunately, the Resistance was able to deny the portal to Shaper influence during this critical period - who knows what might have otherwise transpired, or what dire effect its capture might have had on the governance of the world's most powerful arsenal....

(h/t to agent RubyDiva for good-natured sparring during the eclipse.)
