Check out this video on YouTube:lnl a little too lollipopCaroline,

Thank you for your questions. I have consulted with a faculty member about your question and was given the following information. The school of nursing faculty collectively set the required textbooks for the incoming students every year because the nature of the program is that textbooks are used across multiple semesters and classes.

I was also told that current editions are highly recommended because prior editions can put the students at a disadvantage during school, while taking state board tests and later on during their professional careers.

When you deal with nursing and medical textbooks, information can change substantially between editions. Even when using the most current version of a text, the faculty still work to ensure that the most current evidence based practices are taught in their classes. Because of publication time, a book published in 2015 might only be current up to 2013 standards. Which means a textbook used in 2015 just one edition prior might be current only to 2009 or 2010. It really does put you at a disadvantage as a student and healthcare professional.

When you add in the fact that many of the materials come with online access codes and training modules that will not be active when purchased used, it can further put you at a learning and professional liability. For all of those reasons, the faculty of the nursing school require the use of the editions that they set out in the book lists.

With all that said, the faculty understands how expensive these books can be. That is why we worked with the publisher Elsevier to package the books at a lower cost than if purchased separately. For a more affordable option, we also offer the ebook packages.
Regarding your last question, there is no significant difference between the two iClickers we offer. One simply comes with a 6 month subscription (which is not required for the school's purposes) and the other does notllolblb l. You are welcome to purchase the individual component USED to save money.bllllb

I know that is a lot of information, but I hope it helps!
