Hey, I recognize that pug...
Your favorite apps with Google Drive (Holiday Edition)

Last minute gifts can still be one-of-a-kind: With these Google Drive apps, we've got a couple of ideas for making personalized presents in time for the holidays.

CafePress: Create a personalized gift using pictures stored in Google Drive.
Use photos you keep in Drive to add a personal touch to hundreds of potential gifts. Just select a photo in your Drive open it with the CafePress app. http://goo.gl/ffSFd

WeVideo: Make a video (fancy editing skills not required).
Make a recap video of the highlights of 2012 with the photos, videos, and other files that you keep in Drive. Then add a personal touch with text, effects, music, and voiceovers. http://goo.gl/yABwM

UJam: Create new holiday tunes.
Grab some sleigh bells and write your own full track with a variety of backing instruments, beats, and styles from scratch, or start with a song template. http://goo.gl/wU7uU

With the holidays right around the corner, you may be putting together homemade gifts for loved ones—like a slideshow with highlights from your baby's first year, a collage from your wedding, or maybe a 2012 highlight video like the one we made for #zeitgeist2012.

In the past, it may have been a little hard to share all the files needed for these projects with your gifting co-conspirators. But this year, it's easier than ever to share with others by inserting stuff from Drive directly into an email without leaving Gmail. The best part? With Drive in Gmail, you can send files up to 10GB in size—400x larger than traditional attachments.

A camping trip to Yosemite. A scrapbook for your parents' wedding anniversary. A budget plan for your roommates. Whatever you're working on, Google Drive makes it easier to share and work together from anywhere, any device.

Tell us: What ways have you used Drive to collaborate with friends, family or coworkers?

Today we're taking the new version of Google presentations out of preview and making it the default editor for all new presentations. We’re also introducing a bunch of speed improvements and making it easier for you to create presentations collaboratively with discussions. Check out the video below or visit our blog to learn more: http://goo.gl/Y6Yo4.

We'll also be hosting a Google+ Hangout On-Air to talk about Google presentations right here tomorrow at 2:30 EST (see when the Hangout is in your time zone here: http://goo.gl/yNWKT). If you'd like to participate, post a question you'd like to ask or a piece of feedback you'd like to share in the comments, and we'll select a few of you to Hangout with our presentations product manager +Ajay Surie.
