This is the worst IQ2 debate I've seen.

It's a debate of the 1% for the 1% (maybe the 5%) with no comprehension of the issues facing the rest of the parents in the country. Middle class parents are too busy both working desperately trying to pay the obscenely expensive mortgage and the working class are now so poor that even a trip to McDonald's now means not using electricity for a week or two.

Most British kids don't get shuttled around by a parent or maid from dawn to dusk with a full schedule of activities and multiple private tutors for piano, violin and maths. This panel is delusional, British kids are raised by television, each other and occasionally teachers if the classroom ever quietens down enough for their voices to be heard.

At 1.53 you claim the figures are adjusted for inflation. I just checked and you are wrong they are not adjusted for inflation which over 38 years makes a big difference. Reality is public spending was 41.7% of GDP in 1985, in 1986 it dropped to 40% and then stayed below that until 2009 when a falling GDP meant public spending commitments pushed spending above 40% to a high of 45% in 2010. Since then public spending has dropped back to sub 1985 levels.

If you had bothered to use the graph from ukpublicspending directly underneath the one you decided to include in your video it would have painted a fair and honest picture of the UK economy. Instead you go for the most alarming looking graph you can find and then lie about it's meaning so that you be spread fear and alarm to suit your own agenda.

So much for integrity Stefan.
