We’ve had a great response so far and added a few more items, in particular some nicely detailed pewter sculptures. Please check them out and we hope you will enjoy our findings and the subject.

La femme et l’automobile - a showing of artwork promoting the presence and influence that women had with the automobile culture in the last century.

All items are available for purchase at l'art et l'automobile gallery, but please note that in most cases we only have one of each of those pieces, so they will go on a first come first served basis.

Greetings!
This weekend is the "Classic" 12 hours of Sebring for vintage cars. Hundreds of cars from different decades have showed up, and l'art et l'automobile and Jacques Vaucher have set up a display of their vintage posters and other Automobilia in a room behind the pits.
If you are in sunny Florida come enjoy the weekend and visit our gallery set up.
If you can't make it, we also have an online auction going on at the moment, just visit arteautoauction.com, you can browse and bid on the many items we are offering.
Looking forward to see you or hear from you.

FCA at Austin US Grand Prix.
This past weekend we had the US Grand Prix in our backyard.
For this occasion, Jacques Vaucher and l'art et l'automobile gallery were invited by the Ferrari Club of America to a gathering at the Austin Country Club on Lake Austin where we exhibited some of our Ferrari memorabilia for the 200+ guests/ members.
This was a great and successful event with beautiful Ferraris from different decades.
Thank you to the FCA for this invitation.

Our “24 Hours of Le Mans historical marker sign” auction is now open! This exceptional item is being auctioned off online only – on arteautoauction.com – starting Tuesday October 18th.

Auction will be ending Tuesday November 1st, 2016 at 2:00PM CST

In the 1930’s the 24 Hours of Le Mans race track organizers - the ACO - installed every half kilometers “un poteau Michelin” - or Michelin Sign - especially made for the circuit and offered by DAS (Defense Automobile et Sportive - a governement agency) to show the racers locations on the race track.

Over the years these signs were either broken due to accidents or removed for safety reasons. Most of them are now on display at the Le Mans museum, others were destroyed when removed.

One of the only surviving sign believed to be in private hands is the 4.5 km one that we are offering here. This particular marker was placed in the Mulsanne straight (la ligne droite des Hunaudières), close to l’Auberge des Hunaudières.

The sign is 46” tall by 24.5” wide, made of reinforced cement - 170lbs heavy - with enamel white face, navy blue and red markings and logos.

This unique historical marker is now being offered for sale in our Fall auction, visit arteautoauction.com for more information.
