Sun passing away. Sun you pass away. Sun as you pass away. Should you pass by my Village. Should you see the one that bore me. Tell her that her flower is blooming on the cliff of the village

"The Chakhesang Nagas had this practice of keeping cows in the open jungles to feed. And in the days of headhunting, they sent out the most beautiful maidens as cow herders. The maidens would catch the attention of enemy warriors and bewitched by these beauties, the warriors would refrain from harming them or stealing their cows and keep the peace.

Vesetsolü was one beautiful Chakhesang maiden sent out on such a mission. Her beauty gained so much fame that warriors from far off villages travelled to her village to have a peek at her while she watched over her herd. Many warriors and youths tried to win her affection and wooed her with Lis and gifts.'

“I had no idea that fashion in the North East is such a strong language of expression which combines tribal history. Imcha Imchen, the protagonist of this chapter provoked a lot of reflection in me as a writer.”

Cepho Celho Lizo' is a song about love; unrequited love.
A woman remembers her first love, her memories refreshed by the cherry blossoms. They remind her of the days when love was ripe and beauty hers. But his heart was never hers and the pain is sharp even now. Yet, there is hope for a happier song and new blossoms year after year.

Spring heralds new opportunities, new starts in life and love too.
For the humble farmer, it is the time to get ready for a new season of work. Lessons learned from the past seasons to apply and to make amends for a better harvest perhaps! It brings a warmth into our hearts. A spring in our steps too.
