Population is a killer for Global Warming. Good news, Kinda.
The world's out of control human population growth is something that few people want to talk about loudly because it sounds so very insensitive. But the increase in world population at nearly exponential levels is non-sustainable and multiplies all issues o...

Wind n Sun are now cheaper/better than Coal, NatGas, etc
By now you probably knew it was happening, but you probably didn't realize how much and how fast. If you figure subsidies, Solar and Wind are a slam-dunk powerful option. Wind prices have been dropping fast and solar has been dripping like lead... Solar pri...

Bumped is a killer way to brand. And you probably haven't heard of it. But you will. It could be the best affinity program every. Get stock in your favorite company by, well, buying the stock off their shelves.

The ESOP of Branding: Bumped.com
This is one of the coolest things ever in branding. BUMPED. And I'll bet you haven't bumped into it yet. I assume that the name comes from the idea of going to one of your posts or items-for-sale and typing in "bump". It may be a couple days without activit...

Our criminal (in)justice system is not sane, and not sustainable. We have more imprisoned with 4.3% of world's population than any other country including China and India combined (36% of world's population). You are 6x to 24x as likely to be incarcerated in the USofA than in any other country except Russia (and 40% more likely than Russia). How can that be?
We think that various cures and fixes are likely to lead to scenarios that would/could result in a massive reduction in our prison system populations. If any of those "signals and signpost" came true, it would telegraph a great time to get out of the business of incarceration. Blog post at ScenarioPlans.com (DelphPlan.com)

Criminal Injustice: Is abnormal non-sustainable?
We at SustainZine look for things that are abnormal, things that are so inefficient and clearly irresponsible that they should be categorized as non-sustainable. We think the Criminal Justice system in the USA qualifies and non-sustainable. Question, what i...

We all should rethink our backup solutions and emergency backup options. The big gas generator is a noisy and cumbersome option. Your plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) is a great solution and a nice component to build on for all types of flexible backup solutions. I plan for my next emergency backup generator to be an EV or PHEV. See what you think? #SustainZine #RenewableEnergy #EmergencyBackupPower

Backup to a Better Backup Generator Solution
You may already have a backup generator for the house. In
fact, you may have the backup generator with you just about everywhere you go.
Plus, it might be totally quiet, for hours. Yep, we are talking about your hybrid gas-electric vehicle.

Our Sister site, IPZine, just published an article about Sustainable Ag and the Monsanto Dilemma. Where Intellectual Property (IP) and Sustainability Meet (GMO and Monsanto) Monsanto is an IP Giant.

Monsanto is an Intellectual Property Giant. Or it was. They patented both the herbicide (RoundUP) the genetically modified crops that were designed to ignore glyphosate, the active ingredient. But, Monsanto has been less than honest with us. And now glyphosate, and Monsanto's fate, are increasingly in jeopardy. Seems like a good time to go out of business (and merge into Bayer). The cocktail in RoundUP and the GMO seeds, individually, or in combination are not as safe as the Agro Giant would like us to believe.
