Hello from Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania! +Lyn Hilt , thank you for inviting me to this great group of extraordinary educators (I know this because I see many familiar Twitter faces!). I am Asst. Director or Educational Technology and a lower school tech coach/facilitator at The Shipley School with Wendy (see down below). My ultimate goal is to become a school leader and I will hopefully be starting courses in the fall to meet this goal. I love taking MOOCs and am currently in week 4 of Kevin Werbach's Gamification course which I am finding very interesting. I recently completed #etmooc and last year did Computer Science 101. As you may be able to tell, I love learning and am excited to learn from this group.

I'm Debra (@teacherdebra) from Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania in the United States. I love taking online courses and participating in communities and chats such as this.
Currently I am a lower school (PK-5) technology coach and assistant director of educational technology for an independent school. Prior to that I have taught and worked with all ages of children and their parents from newborns through 17 year olds in various settings.
During the summer I am the office manager and health center overseer for an overnight camp in the Poconos. I love having the flexibility to work with children and educators during the summer in a non-school environment as it allows me to see them differently.
I love to share resources! This is a wiki of teaching resources I created a few years ago. I am always adding to it. http://www.learning-spaces.wikispaces.com

Dear Kara,
First, thank you for looking at my blog. It's a work in progress as sometimes I have something to say and other times I do not.
Next, the fact that you are on the district tech task force is a big plus because you can be the voice of reason and change. It is beyond amazing what even kindergartners can do if you let them. My little ones are unbelievable in their excitement, eagerness and ability. I have students blogging, glogging, creating audio stories with Garageband and as they learn they help each other. You can see the work that all my kids have done and take ideas back to your group by visiting my wiki. It is the one I use to share the students' work: http://www.lower-school-learning.wikispaces.com
If you ever want any help or someone to talk to about ideas, feel free to be in touch!
Keep up the goal if bringing technology into the hands of the early elementary students; it's well worth it.
