2-year-old Kendelynn broke her arm when she fell off a bunk bed. Ouch! But today she’s in our Orthopedic Center with her dad, ready for her cast to finally come off. How cute!

Treating broken bones in kids of any age is different. Their bones are more flexible, so when they break, the fracture patterns aren't the same as you'd see in an adult's bones. Our pediatric orthopedic specialists have the advanced training and expertise to recognize and treat children’s fractures, and minimize the risk of problems that could affect growth and function.

We attached a GoPro camera to Cheeto, one of our certified therapy dogs, and fell in LOVE with what we saw! Watch this adorable Yorkshire Terrier warm the hearts of children receiving care in our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Our volunteer therapy dog teams offer positive therapeutic experiences that help minimize stressors in the hospital environment, provide distraction from illness and hospital procedures, and assist in scheduled physical therapy visits.

Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference, like the comforting hand of a loved one. We captured this heart-warming picture of 2-year-old Dominik and his father while walking the halls of our MACC Fund Center. Stay strong, Dominik!
