'Spread' is a new tool to accelerate testing software across multiple distributions and devices. We're using it for snapd (of course :)) but it's easy to integrate with Travis or Jenkins for any piece of software testing you need to run across a range of devices, clouds, distros etc. Enjoy.

It's great news that Puppet will make the leap to model driven deployment, "Just Like Juju", next year!
The model-driven approach solves the key issue of our times, which is rapidly expanding complexity and scale for service-based architectures. Machine learning, big data, cloud, PAAS, all the cool stuff today is just too big to attack the old machine-and-config-oriented way.
I predict the "Just Like Juju" club will grow rather rapidly, it would not surprise me if we see similar announcements from Chef, Salt, Ansible and others, which will be awesome for customers and users; you should have your free choice of modelling tools for your infrastructure. I'm looking forward to trying the Puppet approach in due course. For now, if you want to see what model-driven deployment is like, check this out.
