Feeling illuminated again - like I felt when I made this art (and the other 29 leaf arts) in September 2013. My heart was full then. So was my womb.

Aren’t my children much like my tomato plants.
I nurture them with love and care and time and curiosity. Sometimes (actually, more often than that!), I start expecting of them – like I did with my tomato plants. I expect for them to flower and when they don’t, I relook at the home environment that I’m creating for them, the soil that I’ve laid for them. The soil or the environment being the relationship I share with them, the relationship I share with my husband, the time we spend together -at home and outside, the things we explore together.....
AND YET….
I Myself Could be the Pest that hampers the tomato plants, and so I need to keep a close watch on myself...

In this article, I’m sharing my own story about my experience, trials and errors and learnings in my search for sustainable menstrual wearing. Also, read on to know what cost we women and our earth need to pay for those seemingly hyigenic and ‘convenient’ disposable menstrual pads; and what viable and natural options do we have available today.

How to create your own recycled note-book. Another lovely tutorial by Tinker Earth.
Ooh, stationary, pens, diaries, stickers, I just LOVE THEM. I've been dreaming of creating my own diary – stitching it, decorating the cover. Gosh! How exciting! Are you like me? If yes, I think you'll like this post. I recently made my own custom diary, and I'm here to share it with you!

We're starting a 3-months (weekly) monsoon project ‪#‎WildDiscovery‬ . From June 29 (Mon) to Oct 4 (sun). I've formed an FB group for this. Would love to have you all onboard this wild exploratory journey. This is not just for our children but for us all - to explore our curious hearts, to connect with nature, to enjoy the outdoors in this beautiful season.
If you wish to participate, please join this group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/WildDiscoveries
After joining, all we have to do is share our wild discovery of the week. You can take pictures, journal (online or offline), research, share links, ask questions. Basically, keep your curiosity alive by exploring and sharing. I urge that we do not skip a week. And yet, if you are not able to commit to each and every week, that's fine I guess. The idea is to have fun! So, I hope you all will join. I promise to keep it exciting, interactive and fun - in the group - our virtual sharing ground.
You can read more about how, what, when, why - over here:

"The maps will be explored, the ancient India history will be understood, the natural history phenomena will be examined. There’s a time for everything. But, the childhood that she’s enjoying right now – it has to happen right now and right here. There’s no tomorrow. Childhood won’t wait. These moments filled with free play, nurturing sleep, creative freedom, abundance of time (to gaze, wonder, eat slowly, bathe lazily) and a bounty of love – will last a lifetime."

Yes, my menstruating days are more than just bodily cleansing. How I feel during those days is beyond words at times. I won’t associate it with depression – as our society tends to think. I’ve felt very close to my introspective self. I’ve felt vulnerable. I’ve felt like I need more and more love. I’ve felt I need to hug more, kiss more, spend quiet time with myself. I’ve felt closer to the elements of nature. I’ve felt very creative and intuitive.

By committing to any of these sustainable ways (cloth pads, menstrual cups) for our menstrual cycles, we’ll be restoring our own bodies and helping in reducing the hazardous waste resulting from toxic sanitary napkins and tampons.

Something new—something different. I've tried many kinds of art, but none as exciting as this one. When I made it, It turned out so beautiful, that I HAD to make more. So… I came up with 4 different types of beautiful shaker cards. Starry Shaker Card - You're My Star. Shaker cards? sounds fun…
