Yes, The Go-To Bondsman and staff at AFBB are here to answer your Bail questions, privately or in comment here.

If you have a bail emergency we are available 24 hours. If you have a question not related to an immediate emergency office hours are best 9-5pm.

I've been getting many calls and emails lately with very valid questions. It seems there is always some bit of confusion about the bail business. Keep in mind that jails and bail work differently in different counties, and each state has it's own bail laws. So it can be confusing. That's why using a reputable, licensed, established company with the right experience and a consistent method of ethical customer service is the key to making difficult circumstances a lot less stressful.

If you have a friend, family member or loved one in trouble and you want the Facts and Answers to your question on Bail, then I'm here to help.

We often get phone calls about what to do if you already have a bail bond and don't feel comfortable talking to your current bail agent. The idea and thought of a "bail bondsman" or "bail agent" can be a bit intimidating and seem like a very cutthroat no nonsense business. But it's not all shady, especially with a  respected company. In particular, our Broward County community of Bondsman follow strict and necessary laws which help keep the industry standards high.

We are here because of the right to bail, in whatever form it's honored and facilitated. So don't let the fear of your bondsman keep you from getting both what is needed and important to give.

If you are in this situation of being uncomfortable with your bondsman or bail bond, I often say, "Your bondsman is not a judge and jury, but there are rules and laws both they and you must abide by in order to provide you with bail. If those are violated, it is those laws which would terminate your bond and end you up back in jail.  But that's really easy to avoid. Your bondsman doesn't prefer to ever go this route. It is timely and costly, and often easily avoided. But it is you who gives the bondsman a reason to trust or mistrust you.  If you mess up, be honest, if you falter, be open about why and what you need, but don't take advantage. They are promising the court you will show up, and do whatever is needed to get thru the charges you are dealt with. Regardless of whether you are found guilty or not, is a mute point. Bail is bail. Your bail is a contract with the bondsman, in turn the jail and courts. It will most always work in your better interest when you just do what is asked.
The requirements are usually very simple and a small piece of effort to give in exchange for your freedom during a trying time. It's a lot like helping someone in "good faith."  So tell your bondsman  everything, because they may know something you didn't think of and often have resources to help.
Remember, your bondsman was there to bail you out, so it's important to keep a rapport and an open line of communication with them. What they ask of you is for the safety of keeping your bond active and in good standing with the courts. Your Bondsman will be a great advocate for you, possibly when no one will. If you keep that in mind, you should be able to keep them informed of everything and no mater what they will be there. It's their job.
Do your best not to burn that bridge or make an assumption that they wouldn't help before talking to them. Most Bondsman have a great deal of experience with the justice system, courts, jails etc. They can guide you in and thru the bail process until your bond is released."

If you are feeling like you are still having an issue, or have questions for us about anything bail, we are a phone call away!
Call our office locally at 954-565-2424 or 1-866-255-2245 toll free from any phone. Either me or my staff will do our best to give you information that might help.

In the meantime, remember...."it will all be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end."

THAT'S WHY THE PROFESSIONALS SHOULD DO IT, THE BAIL BONDSMAN. AFBB USES IT'S OWN RESOURCES AND LEGAL METHODS THAT THE COURT AND JUSTICE SYSTEM IS UNABLE TO AFFORD TO BAIL AND HOLD ACCOUNTABLE.  NOT THE TAXPAYER. AN ANKLE BRACELET IS SIMPLY A GET OUT OF JAIL FREE CARD FOR THE WRONG PERSON, AND THAT DIMINISHES THE CREDIBILITY FOR THE RIGHT PERSON WHO DESERVES IT!
