Bustling, rustic American haunt with oversized, toppings-loaded burgers & a full bar.- Google
People talk about man vs food, burgers are huge, hour wait, long wait and buffalo chicken sandwich

The burgers were very good and enormous as advertised. We went on a Friday for a late lunch and had to wait about 35 minutes. The waiting area was large and comfortable with a tv and we did not mind the wait. We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately with a pleasant and friendly server/bartender. This was a thankful welcoming after being greeted by quite possibly the rudest hostess I have ever experienced in the waiting lobby. The young girl acted totally annoyed that we were even there. It was almost comical. She reminded me of a spoiled brat who could only work for her family. Not sure if this was actually the case, but thought it probably was. Our burgers arrived after just a short wait. The presentation was spectacular. These are truly gigantic burgers. They were cooked perfectly and tasted great, flavorful, with a mild seasoning that was unique. All in all a must see for burger afficionadoes... If you can survive your sure to be unpleasant encounter with the smutty, ill-mannered hostess, the experience rapidly improves. :-)

This isn't really a bad place to eat. That being said, I'm not so sure I would go so far as to call it the "best burger in Columbus." The burgers are quite good and quite large; the dining experience leaves a bit to be desired when you find yourself waiting 45 minutes to an hour to sit down. However, good business is a sign of good food -- maybe not "good for you" food, but good food nonetheless.

Thurman's is a place everyone has to go at least once. The food is American and delicious! They're known for their burgers, but the pizza I had was good too. It's a tiny little restaurant that's always packed so get there early, but it's worth it. There is stuff all over the walls and ceiling, so there's plenty to look at besides tv's and music.

Nothing Great!!! Not even close to the best burger you can get in town. I went in around 1pm on a weekday, they seemed to be out of about every bottle of beer except the regular bud/miller, etc. The service was alright, nothing special and the food followed that trend. Both our burgers were large which is usually good unless they are large and not seasoned correctly...and the was the case. I have had 2 burgers that have been much better and one is next door at the Easy Street Cafe. If you want to eat at a small over crowded place with large unseasoned food...this is the place for you

Burgers as big as your head and so delicious your taste buds will wake up hungover the next day. I have become a regular here. Whenever I have a craving for a big juicy burger, this is the only place that comes to mind.

Be wary of a restaurant that is known for large portions or piling an inordinate amount of toppings on something. If you look beyond the TV hype and reasonably good burgers, the Thurman Café offers some pretty mediocre fare that is not worth a thirty minute wait. If you are looking to get fat for not much money, just be honest with yourself and go to McDonald's. If you want really good food, spend a couple more dollars and check out the Easy Street Café next door.
