This is a bit of artwork I did for my home campaign a few years ago.  I was looking at it again today and thought, wow that fits pretty well into a DCC kinda style.  I still like it.  Gonna have to draw up my own cover for the current campaign adventure and do a free little module for grins and laughs.

Campaign map for my DCC players and anyone interested.  Large enough when you download it and zoom in the map will scale cleanly so you can really view all of the locations in crisp detail.  Just remember to use zoom once you download and open it.

For anyone interested here is the free download for my Swords and Wizardry campaign book.  May decide to do a DCC version in the not so distant future for my online roll20 group.

DCC Roll20 Session #1 Queen of the Slavemark Coast

Summary - The players rolled up four, zero level characters each.  The characters began as prisoners chained within the hold of a Corsair slave ship named, The Serpent.  The ship was flying at full sail in an attempt to keep ahead of a hurricane storm bearing down upon them.  Much was afoot.  The characters had been carefully picked out by a Sorcerer by the name of Korna, an Easterner from the Necrogarchy of Leng, for some special purpose.

The characters found themselves released from their chains through the intervention of some supernatural glowing spark of light which manifested in the hold of the ship just as the storm struck with full fury.  They gathered what weapons they could and staged a deck by deck assault to gain their freedom.

In the end the ship was driven up over the rocks and beached about a hundred yards from the remote and all but completely wild, slavemark coast along the Southern border of the Kingdom of Kyrene.  Events which unfolded during the character's taking of the ship resulted in one surviving party member learning to channel arcane magic, his first attempts causing his body to horribly mutate in the process.  Another party member pledged his service to the cold sea goddess, Tempest, goddess of the North wind whose storm had chased the Sorcerer Korna across the length of the Sea of Harlots for most of two days.  Apparently the goddess and the sorcerer have some long standing feud, the exact details of which remain something of a mystery despite the characters being caught up in it.

The beached ruin of the slave ship, The Serpent shall serve, at least for now, as a base of operations as the characters set forth to explore the surrounding wilderness of the slavemark coast and see if they can find their way free of their current shipwrecked status.

Getting ready for tonight's DCC zero level character funnel game.  We may still have room for one more as one of the initial players is not answering messages today.  Seven PM central time using roll20 and google groups.

Did a little (very simple) photoshop fu on this old Ace pulp magazine cover.  The Queen of the Slavemark Coast is the name for the DCC game I plan to DM online.  Sunday evenings.  Starting up at the end of the month.  Wanted something to temporarily plunk onto the cover of the roll20 page so people could find the game.  Apologies to Ace pulp magazine and Robert E Howard for spoofing the magazine cover for game night.  I will replace this eventually with something I draw myself.

I am hoping to run something D&D esque online in the coming weeks.  It would be awesome if some of my google+ friends...the people I usually +1 on their articles or who sometimes +1 mine would be available / interested in playing.  I would love to game with some familiar faces.

Going to try and get a better scan of this.  map for an online google groups game I am hoping to run.  I am planning one night doing 1st edition with homebrew and another night using Dungeon Crawl Classics.  Tried to color and do this hand drawn version in a DCC inspired kinda style.

Recently my facebook account was hacked and I decided to turn it off for a bit.  Changed the password and all that stuff.  I can pull it back up at any time but for now its probably more secure to just leave it offline and not accessible.  When I think about it having multiple locations where I have my art, photos, personal notes and stuff stored just multiplies my chances of someone finding it randomly and deciding to mess with it.  So...probably smart to just have the one.  Google+ provides email and a bunch of other more suitable features for my purposes so I think I'll just have one single online shingle where my friends can contact me and leave it at that.

I get to enjoy another local DM running for a group for a good while and I think I will take a step back and just dump three to six months of work into my own campaign.  Pondering whether I want to stick with the rules I am currently using or just roll with something else.  Most likely I will stick with something familiar and OSR.
