We're putting all our gear together for the upcoming September trip and have plans to post daily to the Google Plus page, live, from Nuakata! You'll (hopefully) see regular updates daily of all the fishing action we get. If you haven't already 'followed' this page, then now is a good time to do it!

I've spoken with our guys at the Wild PNG outpost again tonight..It's so exciting each time to hear from them. They have managed to negotiate new sources of equipment supply (mostly boats, fuel and staff wages) . They are so keen to have us back and to prove that the fishing is better than ever, they have offered us an awesome deal for the September trip. If we can get a group of a minimum of 8 they will do a special price of $1,495 AUD per person! That's a saving of about $800 per person! If you were thinking of joining this trip, but were still a little undecided, now is the time to contact us to get your name on the list. We already have 2 confirmed and only 6 places left. Don't miss out, we will never get this offer again.

Seems mobile phone reception is in a lot of places now...Our outpost at Nuakata Island now has marginal reception from a tower near East Cape on the PNG mainland about 10nm away! So, if you've set up data roaming on your mobile prior to coming, you should be able to post those daily photos of your catch and make your mates totally jealous - live!

I've just been in touch with the guys at the Wild PNG outpost and everything is in place and ready to go for our return starting with our first trip in September 2014. If you want to be on this trip that will hit the fishing grounds first, make sure you let us know as soon as possible to avoid dissapointment.

We have made 7 places available for the September trip currently slated for 9 days/8 nights departing 23rd Sept 2014. There has been a lot of interest and places are filling fast. If you want to be on this trip and put yourself in this picture, please contact us ASAP to avoid disappointment.

Ian casting from the sand spit of an uninhabited island East of Nuakata. Our typical fishing boat can be seen in the background. Casting big lures like this into deep water leading right up to the beach will produce monster GT's and pretty much everything else too!

September trip will have room for a maximum of 7 guests. If you're in the Whitsundays, we strongly recommend speaking with Bob Spees at Whitsunday Fishing World about what gear you'll need to bring to stand up to the type of punishment you'll get from the fish around Nuakata. Bob has been on 3 Wild PNG trips in 2008 and if you combine his local knowledge of the fishing around Nuakata and his wealth of general fishing knowledge, you couldn't get better advice preparing your gear for this trip. Contact his shop on 0749 480 311.

Costings and planning have been done, and it looks like the September trip will start around 23rd September 2014, staying 1 night at East Cape and 7 nights at the WildPNG outpost at Nuakata - Total of 8 nights. Dates yet to be confirmed!
