Ivy Ross and Smart Products talk last night
"Necklaces that can tell your mood, thermostats that control temperatures better than you can – we’re so excited that technology is finally moving past desktops and smart phones.
Come listen to our speakers discuss the future of connected devices, and how to design for them. We’ll cover everything you need to know – from runway fashion to giant leaps forward in medicine and health."
Ivy Ross – Head of Google Glass
Denise Gershbein – Executive Creative Director, frog
Solene Bourgeois – Senior Industrial & Interaction Designer, Bridge Design
And that we did! It was an extremely informative and interesting evening. All three of these speakers were fascinating to me in their own right but most especially Ms. Ivy Ross, the Head of Google Glass. It's been 9 months and we haven't heard much from her.
I will agree with the article I posted earlier that Ms. Ross is not your average "high tech executive" but having had a chance to speak with her one on one prior to the start of the event, I believe that she knows what needs to be done to make +Google Glass
what it has great potential to be.I specifically am not posting any photos or video of Ms. Ross.
I asked her at the beginning if she would mind video and she politely declined. Once she started to speak it was clear that the stories she had planned to share were rather personal to her and I understood exactly why she would prefer I not share those.
Ivy Ross is a lovely person, a very intelligent and creative person. I personally am extremely excited to see what she has up her sleeves for Glass. I have faith that it's going to be amazing
