Not all Twitter users are equal so it's always best to watch your own results, but +Neil Patel's stats can help you create a solid gameplay to get started.

Nice Twitter Engagement infographic from +Neil Patel and QuickSprout.

Full-sized infographic: http://www.quicksprout.com/2013/12/06/how-to-increase-your-twitter-engagement-by-324/?display=wide

Provides a nice top-down view of Twitter-verse with some suggestions for building engagement and followers. Also so nice statistics to bring up at that next company board meeting regarding how to use Twitter as a business channel.

I'm disappointed when I see professionals who don't take reasonable precautions regarding internet security. Sitting at Starbucks, I just watched an insurance agent set a guy up with a new health policy. He set the password up to be the client's first name and birthday (no year), and said it out loud where neighboring patrons could easily hear. That's access to his private health records - not something that should be taken lightly. Using secure passwords is your biggest defense, and it's so easy. Would we all use generic keys to our house or cars that anyone could buy copies of in the store? That's what using basic, easy-to-guess passwords is like.

My latest blog post lists 7 ways you can attract more fans to your Facebook page without buying ads. Probably some relevance to growing your Google Plus audience as well. #facebooktips

Will press releases still help your SEO despite Google's new restrictions on these links? Yes! Take a look at Kim's post to see how.

Spelling and grammar DO matter! They're the number one reason UK consumers are turned off by brands on social media. Do you think Americans are more forgiving?

According to a recent study of UK consumers, poor spelling and grammar is the biggest reason why customers don't like your brand on social media.

Is that the top contender as to why you dislike brands on social?

Interesting results! I'm glad to see that IE is catching up a bit - just because SO much of the general population still uses it.

Introduction
Professional

As owner of Satin Web Solutions, I provide business owners with online marketing services to improve their bottom line. Each business is different, so I work with you to identify a unique strategy to optimize your online lead generation. Services include web development, search engine optimization and social media implementation, as well as additional support as needed.

I believe in educating you as a business owner on  how each strategy will benefit your business, and encourage you to become an active participant in your online marketing activities. I provide done-for-you services as well as staff training to help you get the most out of your marketing budget.

Background

I studied Economics and International Relations at Boston University, and have a broad background in business development and education. I got my start in web development creating websites for my mom's retail store, and later launched my own eCommerce boutique, The Satin Button. I still run The Satin Button, where I sell unique gifts for babies and kids, as well as seasonal collectibles such as Woof and Poof collectibles and Mark Roberts Fairies.

Personal

I'm a Northern California mom of two awesome boys with a wonderful husband. I love to coach & play soccer, follow the Sac Kings, and drive my 4WD on rocky desert roads hunting for crystals and minerals.

Education is important to us and choosing my son's first school was a huge decision for me. I visited quite a few other Montessori schools, but each one had at least one piece that wasn't quite right. When I found Sunrise, I was thrilled. I knew immediately it would be perfect for us. They were flexible with our schedule, comforted my son as he adjusted to leaving Mommy for a few hours, and provided him a wonderful education. They have an extensive collection of well-organized Montessori materials, extremely qualified, dedicated teachers, and ample space to play outdoors. The education at Sunrise Montessori extends beyond the classroom. In addition to the solid academic education, they teach the children how to work together in the classroom, play together on the playground, and resolve conflicts independently. My first son attended for two years and developed a solid foundation that has helped him excel for the past three years since he moved on to elementary school. My youngest son just completed his first year at Sunrise Montessori, and we are looking forward to one more year together.
