Bolivia
Frontera is a non-profit team of professional image makers, working with public and private conservation projects in South America. Our last trip brought us to Bolivia where we worked with researchers to photograph the endangered Blue-throated Macaw. In this album, you will find sample of some of other wildlife we encountered along the way. Enjoy!

Baby Burrowing Owls
July is the perfect time of year to photograph young Burrowing Owls in South Dakota. This is the month when they emerge from their burrows and begin learning how to fly. I'm no longer in South Dakota very often and I really miss spending time with them....

Puma in Torres del Paine National Park

The cats were only mildly interested in me. They focused on the guanaco passing through the valley below, most of the time. At one point they set up an ambush, but the lone guanaco followed a different game trail at the last minute.

Story
Tagline
In hopes of presenting the natural world as an emissary for its own preservation.
Introduction
I became a wildlife photographer in 2001 when my first published images appeared in National Wildlife Magazine. Since that time, I've been lucky enough to be published in National Geographic, Nature Conservancy, and Nature's Best magazines - among many others. I've worked in NYC building a photo stock library for Medical News Network and created Frontera Wildlife Photography Adventures, a tour company leading serious amateur photographers throughout Argentina. Most recently, I turned Frontera into a non-profit organization helping public and private conservation projects with photography and video production. Through all of the changes and transitions, I continue to manage and photograph stock images for Laura Crawford Williams Wildlife Photography
Bragging rights
I was always a chameleon, working as a scientific and medical illustrator, 3D animator, and project manager for educational and entertainment software. I've done voice over for the defense department, software production consulting for a high stakes gaming company, and diagnostic photography for the Center for American Archeology and University of Nebraska curators. I'm a hermit that loves people and an overachiever with a lazy side. To quote the science fiction writer Octavia Butler , “an oil and water combination of ambition, insecurity, certainty, and drive.”
