Let me be the oddball and say I like it. It has an underground shady dive feel to it. The neatest part is all the little carts selling stuff. Its more of a one time tourist attraction then a quality shopping center. The arcade is kind of cool. It does leak when it rains and they set buckets and pails along the floor to catch the water so it is easy to avoid. I'm glad I saw it. Would make a nice red light district.

I visited Underground ATL recently for the first time in several years. I was very disappointed, it was not what I remember it being. There are no good shops, it has a very dismal appeal and it is mostly vendor carts selling crummy trinkets. We also felt very unsafe there as there was a large number of sketchy people and groups of shady looking teens.

Shady and shoty. Security guard was rude about the no sitting rule street level. More like ghost town than underground.

Nothing short of a third rate flea market. It's rundown, dirty, and no good stores. It's very seedy to say the least.

Awful what has happened to Underground Atlanta. I came to a Braves game as a kid... like in '92 and remembered Underground Atlanta as essentially the premier tourist attraction in the city. Lots of activity, good shopping, activities, etc. Now as an adult, I just got back from a trip to explore the city at the end of September 2013.... and WOW, my how things have changed! Underground Atlanta is now a combination of a ghost town and a scene from "The Walking Dead". My wife had planned an awesome trip the city including some must see attractions such as Midtown, Buckhead, Piedmont Park, Centennial Olympic Park, etc. (must visit places in the city). And even though hardly a mention of it showed up in any of her guidebooks, I insisted we go check out Underground because of my prior experience as a kid. Virtually everyone we came across was extremely shady, appeared on drugs, old dudes with no shirts on stumbling around, people mumbling disrespectful comments, worn and abandoned visitor's center... not pretty. The retail mall was open but there was literally not one person inside when we walked through. My wife couldn't get out of there quickly enough and I couldn't blame her. Not a good place to visit, not a good place for kids. I really hope Atlanta can do something to turn the area around, but for now, it is not even close to being worth a visit.

Not what it used to be. I'm told this used to be a great attraction but now is mostly empty. None of the stores interested me or any of the fast food type food options. The only thing that interested us were the classic trucks (maybe 10-12) sitting around and the historical markers.
