+TC9700Gaming I have been having problems with installing maps. I fell in love with the El Bosque Bravo map when you were exploring it in the modded multiplayer video the other day but i don't seem to be able to install it or in fact any other map. I'm running the legacy version of course and i have tried installing it both with jsgme and manually.

Now you only talk about copying and pasting the files in the levels folder but all the maps i've downloaded have files in other folders as well. One of my questions is whether i only need to transfer the files from the levels folder and the other files are just different textures (for example) which don't matter or whether every file in that mod package is essential for that mod to work. i have tryed it both ways and it works neither way but i am still interested to know about it because it gives me a better understanding.
Now, i have scoured the internet for information on my predicament but there seems to be very little information on the subject so i ask you. Can you think of anything i might be doing wrong. whether i'm installing the mods only from the levels folder only or every single folder in the mod package or even jsgme. I mentioned that i have legacy. can you think of anything else i have left to do. My thoughts are that if somebody else can use the mod then i must be able to and that i must be doing something wrong.

This is all very high tech and all very brilliant but i cant shake off the sensation that they are deliberately making things more complicated than they need to be.

Like the thing with the turbo, rather than sitting there complaining about turbo lag and creating this overcomplicated system to spool up the turbo why not just use the method everyone who has wanted to get rid of turbo lag has been using and chain a smaller turbo to the existing one.

Personally what i would do would be to put a supercharger in the engine and hooking it up to a large turbo. That way you get the low rpm efficiency of the supercharger and the high rpm screaming power of the turbo throughout the whole range. Although the supercharger sort of runs out of steam in the higher ranges i believe that it is preferable to having a turbo ahead of the big turbo in the boost chain, at least for track racing purposes

Well I would like to see anyone achieving 600HP from 1,6l engine with 100kg consumption per race with standard supercharger+turbo. The solution would have to much more complicated and you would still have higher consumption and lower power...

I'd fire that radio presenter.
Rude assumptions, cutting James off all the time, cocky as hell. I would have been quite cross with him if i was James.

You are such a dreadful teacher. You go way too fast and explain too little. I wouldn't complain if this wasn't a beginners class. I for example had a brainwave just a moment ago that it would be cool to learn to program and I went looking for beginner videos because my knowledge about programming is limited . So when i found these "beginner" videos I didn't expect the teacher to conduct his class in such a way that a beginner would be unable to cope. Of course it is a bit unfair of me to complain to a man who spends his free time to help others learn the trade, but i really want this comment to help you understand it is acceptable to go a bit quicker with people who are more advanced, but if you set up a beginner video then have it in such a way that a beginner can understand it. Otherwise I'm sure you're doing a lovely job.

Of course the pause button is a valid method for coping, but with the enormity of youtube's library i generally try to search for a better video. If that fails then i go back to the other video and use the pause button, but that often requires going back and forth again and again to get all the steps down and frankly to me it's a waste of time when i can get all the information from another video fully explained in one go. So if I were to give tutorial makers tips on how to make their videos. i'd say reasonably slow and thoroughly explanatory and i'm sorry to say that this video had neither quality. People's attentiveness varies of course but i think that even very attentive persons would have had problems taking this video down in one go

Haha. Good joke in the beginning Jay: "And you're also a highly accomplished racing driver" Daniel: "Yes" Jay: "And show us some...... We know you're a modest guy"

Really hope he wont be sacked. He is of course a bit of an idiot but he is definitely my favourite tv host and top gear would be nothing without him. I also doubt that James or Richard will stay on if he is sacked
