Menu

Café Boulud has become an Upper East Side staple, with its menu inspired by Daniel Boulud’s four culinary muses: la tradition, classic French cuisine; la saison, seasonal delicacies; le potager, the vegetable garden; and le voyage, flavors of world cuisines. Having earned three stars in the New York Times as well as a star in the Michelin Guide, Café Boulud is both a destination and a neighborhood gem for casually elegant dining. Executive Chef Aaron Bludorn and his team serve breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. The terrace at Café , with Central Park just around the corner, is a prime spot for seasonal outdoor dining.

The restaurant’s adjacent Bar Pleiades serves some of the neighborhoods finest cocktails and is perfect for a group gathering or intimate get together. Enjoy live jazz from 9pm - midnight every Monday and Friday night.

This place is the embodiment of class and quality; the kind of spot where you leave wondering how food can be that good. I'm not the kind of guy who looks at food as a sought-after experience in and of itself. I enjoy food, but I enjoy the things it's typically associated with more: good company, a slight buzz, etc. Cafe Boulud, though, quiets the table. Every dish i've tried from this place has been like seeing a new color. Eatting here is staggering. Outside of the food, the service is top notch and the prices are high but it's to be expected and worth trying. Excellent.

Their restaurant week lunch menu was great value, each dish was well prepared, flavorful and plain delicious. I look forward to visiting again.

Great food for breakfast and dinner. A lot of variety in the menu, so easy to find something traditional French or new and different to try.

DO NOT GO until management straightens out the kitchen and trains front of house staff. 4 of us, two "old timers" were there for dinner last night and had the worst service imaginable.........took 3 hours for a simple dinner. Nobody cared. I have written to Daniel Boulud and am interested to see if I hear from him. Sometimes the guy with his name on the front door needs to be in the restaurant

Another nice Boulud outpost. This one specializes in modern French cuisine in a more laid-back atmosphere than Daniel. There are usually some very nice seasonal options, and dishes are both beautifully presented and not overly heavy. Service is impeccable and the setting quite charming. On the downside, an outing at CB will make a dent in the pocketbook, as compared to other equivalent options. A quick note on my rating scale: 5 stars = exceptional food & service; 4 stars = excellent food & service; 3 stars = decent to good (top-of-the-line for fast service restaurants); 2 stars = mediocre; 1 star = not recommended.

Fresh hand drawn noodles! Need I say more? This is Asian comfort food at its best. Hot noodles on a cold day or if you need that perfect hangover cure. This is it.They even have a vegetarian/vegan broth!Good portions, fast service, right in the heart of New York, NY.Don't forget its cash only but they have an ATM right outside.

Tiny portions served on large plates. The Floating Island dessert consisted of tiny atolls in a sweet soup that just covered the bottom of the bowl. My main course was salmon which was tasty. My wife was disappoint with the ravioli. But if the portions were small they made up for that with high prices. So the fixed price brunch for two came to $180 including two glasses of sparkling wine, tax and tip. Well it is Madison Avenue. And they did give us some Madeleines to take away with us. We wolfed them down later as we were still hungry.
