The following road closures will take place connected with the state funeral for Jim Flaherty. 

Effective Monday, April 14, 2014, at 6 p.m., Church Street will be designated as an emergency :"No Stopping" zone, north and southbound, between King Street East and Adelaide Street East, until further notice. 

Effective Wednesday, April 16, 2014 , at 9 a.m., King Street East will be closed to traffic between Jarvis Street and Church Street. Streetcars will continue to run until 10 a.m., after which they will be diverted 

Effective Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at 10 a.m., the following full road closures will be implemented: 

- Adelaide Street East, between Church Street and Jarvis Street 
- Church Street, between King Street East and Adelaide Street East 
- Jarvis Street, southbound, between Adelaide Street East and King Street East 

Police advise that drivers should expect traffic delays and congestion within the surrounding community, and recommends the TTC as an alternative.
