Excellent family restaurant. Staff is very professional and food is awesome. We recently had a party of 12 here. I always recommend to my family and friends to go here.

I am not impressed with RJ's. 1st off our waitress was not attentive and slow. She was the extremely nice and polite but as a waitress we waited a long time for her to introduce herself and take our drink order. There was no follow up once the food was served and we were constantly saying "excuse me" as she walked past us. Now, we observed the other wait staff doing an excellent job with their tables, so we think we got the worst of the bunch. Now the food. I ordered BBQ hamburger the wife wanted shrimp burger. I wanted onion rings, partly because it wasn't extra you can substitute fries for rings or sweet potatoes fries, but they were out of onion rings. Food came hot, my burger looked great...it was huge. Wife shrimp burger looked...well....didn't look like a shrimp burger. We were expecting a po boy looking burger with the shrimp hanging off the bun. It was more like a salmon croquet or as sponge bob would say "crabby patty." We had to cut into the shrimp burger to make sure it had shrimp. It looked like it was cooked too long and tasted ehh....ok?!?! But, our waitress never followed up to make sure we liked it so it was not sent back. I do not eat red meat very often, more like every other month. I choose to eat burgers only when I really want a good burger. So when I ordered this burger I was expecting big things. 1st off....a big burger does not mean a good burger. This burger was big but the meat was not seasoned. There was no real flavor in the meat, I guess why you can get many varities of the burgers with all type of toppings. The quality of the meat was great though, it wasn't the cheap chuck stuff. I would rather had a 5 guys burger with cheese. Overall, it is a good family place to go with kids, nice bar, affordable price, lots of TV's if you want to catch a game outside of the bar. I will not go back though, it was not a good first impression.
