Paws for a View at Castle Tioram – Castle Tioram, Dorlinn, Moidart

What a great way to start this fine day. A walk around Castle Tioram this morning. It was looking splendid in the early morning sunshine.

Paws for a View above Dorlinn – Loch Moidart South Channel from Cruach nam Meann, Dorlinn, Moidart

During the week, I took a walk in the hills above Dorlinn and climbed up Cruach nam Meann to take in the view of the South Channel of Loch Moidart between Farquhar’s Point and Eilean Shona, out to the Small Isles of Muck and Eigg beyond. — at Dorlinn.

Paws for a View above Moidart – Loch Moidart and Eilean Shona from Egnaig Hill, Glenuig, Moidart

I had a great run about in the grass and heather on Egnaig Hill last night. The view over Loch Moidart and beyond from up there is simply stunning. I just had to take a break and admire the view.

Paws for a View above Polloch – Corrantee Lead Mines Waterwheel House, Coire an t-Suidhe, Sunart

I took a walk up the old cart track from Loch Doilet, through the Sitka spruce and larch plantations to reach the remains of the Corrantee Lead Mine. Once I reached the mine’s derelict waterwheel house, I paused to take in the view looking back down towards Loch Doilet and the hills beyond.

Cascade - Resipole Burn, Resipole, Sunart

I had a Friday morning walk up by the Resipole Burn, which was in full flow after some overnight rain. I didn't get the photo I had in mind as there was too much water, but on the plus side the burn did look pretty dramatic.

Our Self-Catering Apartment

Completed in 2011, the apartment offers modern and luxurious accommodation that makes the most of its magnificent situation, with its floor to ceiling window in the living area presenting the most amazing views up and down the sea loch to give that "wow factor". Wildlife abounds in the area, with otters, seals, porpoises, eagles and other sea birds spotted most days as guests sit and have their breakfast at their “table with a view”.

Calm Waters - Loch Sunart, Resipole, Sunart

We had a calm evening to end the day yesterday here at Rockpool House with the hills of Morven on the other side of Loch Sunart bathed in the golden light of a setting sun.

Paws for a View above Resipole – On the track up to Ben Resipole, Resipole, Sunart

It seems to be a bit of a ritual on a Friday morning, this walk up the track to Ben Resipole. I don't mind though as the views from up there are brilliant. You can see Rockpool House, where I live, as the white speck at the base of the hill in the middle of the photo.

First Flag Iris - Bay of Flies, Salen, Ardnamurchan

It was lovely down at the Bay of Flies this morning with some fine weather making the Bay look stunning. The sunshine is bringing out the first of the Flag Irises that line its northern shore.

Paws for a View above Resipole – On the Slopes of Meall Mor, Resipole, Sunart

I had the job of taking fresh eggs from our hens to the shop at Resipole Campsite this morning, so afterwards I took the opportunity to climb up Meall Mor to take in the view of Loch Sunart. Stunning as always, even on a cloudy day.
