Did you know... there's a 'secret' Cowboy Wild West set in Edinburgh?

You'll find it off Springvalley Gardens, past Morningside's charity shops. It looks like an unassuming driveway so keep your eyes peeled!

Sunset at Troon Beach.

The story behind the shot.... (and why it cost me £20)

Driving home from another filming job (the type where you wear a suit and tie) I spotted this out the window of my car.

The sun was already setting to no time to change out of my suit, no time to put the wellies on... just grabbed a camera and tripod and made my way to the shore line in my suit, shirt tie and smart shoes (a good 50 yards of soggy sand travelled across before I got the framing I liked)

So I got this shot (which is SOOC, no alterations other than a slight vignetting and cropping - the colours you see are the colours I saw with my own eyes -in fact I think there is an iPhone BTS shot of this shot earlier on this facebook page) but it cost me £20..... in dry cleaning fees....

As the Loreal ads proclaim.... worth it

"So let me tell you that I love you
And I think about you all the time
Caledonia you're calling me
And now I'm going home
And if I should become a stranger
You know that it would make me more than sad
Caledonia's been everything I've ever had."

It's Goodbye...
from me. Sadly, due to pressing personal commitments, I wont be posting to G+ for the immediate future, and unless circumstances change dramatically, I won't be around for a while.

It's always difficult as a creative artist to know with any great certainty that your own personal view of the world translates to the wider community as a whole, but I've always felt very welcomed and genuinely appreciated on G+.  I'd like to thank each and every one of you who have followed and supported my posts over the last 2 years. I've made many friends on G+, some true, some not so true. You have all though, made my life more meaningful. I wish you all health, wealth, happiness and joy with your respective futures.

Social Networking can be a time consuming and fickle old game so I'll leave you with a quote from one of my favourite films - The Life Of Brian...

"Just be yourselves... you don't have to follow anyone."

Peace! JGM. ;-)

An amazing #throwbackthursday ... Edinburgh's North Bridge in 1885 and then in 1950.
