A few distinctions: 1. The hotel (Pod 39) staff are great, as is the hotel in general. 2. The rooftop bar staff are complete a-holes, but it's a really nice spot. 3. The food and drinks are really good, but everything is wayyy overpriced.

Place is really cool and the food is good. The hostess staff are consistently horrible, which I normally wouldn't pay too much mind to, but this last time was just ridiculous. We were a big group for dinner and the hostesses (all of them) were just nasty, worse than rude. They question you like it is an inquisition about where your whole party is and made us feel like they didn't even want us to be there!! We seemed to be inconveniencing them to sit at a table at 5pm on a Friday!! Newsflash, that is after work happy hour time, you should be able to serve someone a drink at a table! When they brought menus to the table they threw them at us like we had wronged them in some way because a few people were still on the way (all arrived within 15mins and the place was empty in the meantime). We had a great time but I would never go back because there is absolutely no reason for that kind of attitude at the door. There are plenty of other great places in this neighborhood. Waitress was nice enough but didn't (couldn't) make up for the way we were treated before we even sat down.

Nice lounge area in the back and the tables and chairs are mostly stools and bar tables. The place to sit though is at the bar to watch the bartenders at work mixing cocktails. Nice ambiance and decorations. Fan of the margaritas and the spicey beer cocktail. Nice bartender service and it's not too crowded or rushed. A great pigs head tostada. Super flavorful and tender with all the off bits on a pigs head. Wondeful cheeks, ears, and pork belly. Seared crispy and tender on a flat top and you can tell all the parts were braised perfectly for the flavor and tenderness. Nice grilled down peppers and cheese on top with a crispy tortilla bottom. Also had the chorizo tacos. 3 in quantity a bit on the small portion side for each of the 3 but the flavors of chorizo was also good. Tender and seared.

Great ambiance, nice music. I went here for a quick dinner because I was staying at the hotel next door, and I didn't regret it at all. It was a bit expensive considering the tiny portions, but I wasn't very hungry and the flavors were really good. I'd say this place is great to grab supper before going out or hitting the sack in the hotel with a good book.

This reviews applies to weekday lunch only. I've been here before for happy hour and it is a much different experience. The restaurant is quiet and pleasant for a weekday lunch. There are a couple of interesting items on the menu, though there is no flexibility in it - e.g., to change a bun for a corn tortilla (to make it gluten free) or to make your guacamole a little spicier. The carnitas tacos (3 to an order) have nice, spicy, tender meat, though mine were a little heavy on the green sauce. The chicken tinga torta was a bust - not bad, but almost bland. It also had a small but significant bone in it, which would have been very bad to swallow, though the staff was very apologetic and offered to take it off the bill and get us something else. When we informed them that we already paid (we were in a bit of a hurry), we were told to see the manager next time we came in and she'd take care of us. The price is relatively high for what you get, which I expected given the connection to the adjoining hotel. Overall, a very cool venue, with good service at lunch, but also with fairly high prices and only decent food. I'd say you get more bang for your buck at a happy hour, when the drinks are flowing and the novelty of the venue and the crowd make a bigger difference.

Amazing fusion mexican. Never really had taco with kimchi before but guess what? It works. The bartenders are super friendly and the atmosphere. Board games and ping pong tables for entertainment definitely helps. Get crazy crowded on the Thurs-Sat especially when the rooftop is opened in the warmer weather but overall love this place!

Poor attitude on the part of at least some of the staff. Poor enough that, given all the options in NYC, I would rather eat elsewhere. Ambiance is cool tho, so I'll give them an extra star for that.

I came here for lunch and there was no wait. We ordered a number of things: - chips and guac: the gauc is not your typical... It has like a kick to it. Not a spice you think typical for Mexican food - meatballs: delicious! Def try this - tamales: this was amazing! There was such a cool corn kinda jello type base on the bottom- it will not disappoint. Tried steak, pork, cauliflower tacos. It was yummy in that order... Obvi the rooftop is gorg!!!
