Dearest Wendy.......My deepest sympathy from across the oceans still extends to you.  While I am far away I send thoughts and hopes for a light to find it's way to you again.  Even be it a stream of sunlight through your window pane, a whispering breeze through the trees, a flutter of a firefly in the night.  Small awareness of small things to gently enfold you and carry you back.  This world needs your light, your love, your talent.  Your friends and family need you.  May the shimmering beauty of the sunrise show you the way each and every day.
I feel like I am wandering through each day, not achieving anything, and not feeling any joy, although I am feeling other emotions of sadness, loss and a huge urgency to take flight.  Where would I go, I don't know, and even...

I worry about you my friend.  So I am sending you the things I find beauty in and hope they help you find a way through the darkness.

GIANT Sugar Cookies! Easy and Delicious! It is so nice to have really good treats on hand!
These are truly the biggest cookie I have ever made!  So big one is for sure enough!  I am making a second batch today and dropping to a tablespoon as a scoop rather than a 2" ice cream scoop the recipe calls for.  I found this recipe in the Martha Stewart ...

After calling 5 times to the Newburgh, In. town manager I now have called the number listed for Action Pest Control who is being paid by the town for spraying for mosquitos. I have checked with several other neighbors who also are being bothered by these pests and who have never seen anyone spraying here. Now I wait for a call back while they figure out if they have sprayed or not. I am wondering how that will happen since the corporate representative did not ask for our address? He did get my phone number after I offered it. This call did nothing to reassure me of their competence. And yes we are in the city limits.

9 members of our family ranging in age fro 5 to 69 visited your zoo on Columbus day. We arrived as the gates opened. Prior to agreeing to come I had visited your web site and saw that you promote a railroad within the zoo that circles the grounds. Because of that I agreed we would come thinking that if we tired we could ride to the next point the family wanted to see. WRONG. After waiting in the station an advertized 12 minutes between trains. Through 4 times and not being able to board we finally got on the train the fifth time. Nobody wanted to get off the train so others could board. It was packed. I saw firsthand 8 cars sitting alone and not operating on this holiday weekend. Poor planning on somebodies part. All this after my husband paid $20. for the all day passes to ride, what waste that turned out to be. The zoo it's self was lovely but our trip was ruined. All this after driving 4-6 hours to get there!

5 Stars from our family! A group of 9 members of our family were able to visit and take a tour on Sunday. It was delightful. Our group ranged ages 5 through 69 and all loved it. What a great way to see the animals and feed them up close....from a tour truck! Saves a lot of wear and tear on us too. Thank you to our wonderful driver and tour guide too! I can't say enough nice things!
