Siemens-Schuckert Steffen R.I - (Serial no. R1/15) Initial prototype with three 150hp Benz Bz III engines. Accepted in July 1915 and tested at the front-line, but not on operations, later used for training.
Siemens-Schuckert Steffen R.II - (Serial no. R2/15) Larger version of the R.I with three 260 hp Mercedes DIVa engines. Only one built which first flew late in 1915, accepted by 26 June 1917, but used for training only.
