Great ambiance! High ceilings and big windows that let in a lot of light. The food is awesome. Love the mushroom pizza! Very different from what I was expecting in a GOOD way. If you like mushroom then you'll really love this one. It uses a variety of different types of mushrooms. Also love love love the donut holes as an appetizer. Not too sweet & has the perfect fluffiness. The only downside is the service is a bit slow, and the coffee was lukewarm. Next time I'd just make sure to ask for extra hot coffee. Definitely coming back.

My favorite color is yellow. The restaurant exterior is yellow. I love yellow. I glance at this place while passing by and I knew I would be in for a treat. Started off with a simple margherita smother in freshly tomato sauce, mozzarella, and topped with basil. My secondi is the slow poached halibut in basil-ginger broth, garnished artichokes, potatoes, and a little bit of lime. Finally, dessert of zeppole with side sauce of vanilla bean crema, meyer lemon curd, and huckleberry all in one. A simple place, serving simple foods, with happy simple friends. I hope you give this place a try. Cheers! The simple things in life.

The bright, fresh flavors are one reason to come here, but you're really here because you love the neighborhood. Piccino is a warm and inviting place, and all the locals flock here for a reason.

Great Italian restaurant! Came by on a Sunday and it was very crowned, but got seats at the bar in 15 minutes. Had 4 small plates and enjoyed everything.

My friend made a reservation for five of us at Piccino - I was really excited to try it! We all arrived around 5 minutes on either side of our reservation for 7pm. However, we weren't seated until 7:15pm. When I went to talk to the host at 7:10pm about a table, he told me to give our server some time. Wow, okay? We made a reservation for 7pm, but we should give our server some time? I also told him it was my friend's birthday, which he failed to relay to our server. Then we ended up at a shared table seated next to an extremely obnoxious child who couldn't stop moving or making strange noises. So much for reservations. Throughout the meal, we had to ask for our bottle of water to be refilled. This happened at least five times. It was never taken or refilled without our asking. We also poured our own water the entire time, minus the first glass. Our server was often nowhere to be found, and I had to ask other servers and the host to help us instead. Even then, the hosts and servers were often conversing instead of attending to guests or tables. We had to tell another server that it was my friend's birthday, which she was able to relay to the kitchen. The wine list also boasts expensive wines - there were no reasonably priced ones. The average glass cost $14-15. The $50 bottle we ordered was only okay. The only saving grace was the food. The pasta I had was great, well seasoned and well made. The portions are pretty small though, so keep that in mind when ordering! Weirdly, in the middle of dusk, they placed a candle on our table. But it was about an hour later around 8:30pm that they abruptly turned down the lights... and turned them back on again. With the awful service, strange ambiance, and shared tables, I won't be going back. The food is good, but isn't worth it.

It's a wonderful dining experience but the food left you wanting something more. It felt incomplete. Impeccable service though.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere, great service, and delicious food. It is in a cute little area of San Francisco, and the decor is nice. The waiters are prompt and helpful. The food is excellent, and it is clear that they use high quality ingredients to create cuisine with a sophisticated taste. I would definitely recommend this place, and I will come here again.

Piccino hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
