We stayed here for our honeymoon which got off to a rough start with lots of challenges in our travel to the hotel with flights and lost baggage. We actually missed our first night, which was prepaid, and were worried we would lose the money we had paid for the room. When we were finally able to talk to one of the general managers, Elizabeth, she was very helpful in crediting it back and we actually then went ahead and booked 2 extra nights onto the end of our stay there. Everyone at the front desk were wonderfully helpful and the concierge, Bryan Valentine and Jules, were great to work with on getting bicycles (a must in Key West for us) and booking snorkeling/sailing excursions. The property is laid out well and kept up well. Our room was very nice and comfortable. We really had expected to have a view of the ocean but it was okay as most of our time was spent down at the pool, relaxing in the hammocks, or visiting all the great eating places in Key West. I have stayed at many resorts all over the world and although this one is a little smaller and more quaint it was one of my favorites. The one minor complaint I would have if any was that the WIFI was slow and unreliable, We will definitely be back.

Wife and I went to Key West for a mini-vacation and stayed at Southernmost on the Beach. Had a wonderful stay that started from the minute of check-in until when we checked out. Larry, the guy at check in was very personable, and gave us great pointers about the city, since this was our first time. There were two folks that helped us at the Concierge desk -- Jules and Bryan -- who always had great recommendations and had discount coupons to boot. Southernmost is a group of hotels at the quiet end of Duval Street, that share access to each other's facilities no matter which of the hotel buildings you are staying in. This hotel is on the beach, but also has a nice size pool, and an awesome (i.e, five-star food) open-air restaurant. We were able to get a taxi within minutes of saying we needed one, but could also walk just about anywhere that we wanted to (Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville is 8/10ths of a mile up Duval St). Bicycle and scooter rentals are available just across the street, as is a well stocked convenience store. The rooms are big and spacious, with a nice balcony with a side-ways view of the beach. They had an ice cream social on Sunday afternoon, and bingo at the pool on Tuesday afternoon. It's hard to put the guests into only one or two categories. There were young marrieds, families will smaller kids, and older marrieds. We seemed to be the only "younger" retired, but all mixed well, and it was easy to strike up a conversation, if you wanted. Overall, a very comfortable place to stay ... no complaints at all. We will definitely come back here again.

I would say hat this resort is the best one in all of the Keys. Thy have a wonderful staff and know exactly how to please guests. The rooms are fresh and clean while the outside is also spectacular. I have never enjoyed a vacation as much as I had here. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Booked this place primarily based on a very competitive rate compared to other hotels in the area. This property is on the quieter end of Duval St about a block from the Southernmost Point buoy. Easily walking distance to where all the action is however. The "private beach" is a little small, however the staff was very good and the room was always clean and comfortable.

This place is amazing! The rooms are spacious, with beautiful decor. The staff is excellent and very helpful . The beach and grounds are beautiful and well kept. We stayed for a 3 night stay without a reservation and they accommodated us at a fairly reasonable price. However, they did get $10 per a day to park. Overall we were very happy with the whole experience and definitely will be back!

My husband and I stayed for just one night, but it was a wonderful night. Best nights sleep I have had in a long time. Our room was on the second floor facing the water, and towards the end (away from the pool, close to the tanning deck), away from the ruckus, and it was very peaceful. The room was clean with good amenities (amazing pillows). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall I think this hotel is a better choice for families, rather than those wanting a romantic get-a-way, that being said we had a great time.
