Mind-blowing. Not just how effortlessly Walker lied, but how easily people accept that as truth.

I like how The Orville was intended to be a sort of spoof of sci-fi TV shows set in space, but it's like they accidentally made a decent sci-fi TV show set in space.

Domain owners: since G Suite is no longer free for any number of users, what do you use for an email service for your domain? Pretty sure Microsoft's deal is free, but I'm not a fan of their software. The usual domain registrars and hosting services have bleh software, and I can't do it myself without paying for a business line. Right now I'm leaning towards Microsoft but I'm wondering what else people are leaning on?

It's now the end of Day 3 of a busy weekend-ish, and the TicWatch Pro is now sitting at 12%, although admittedly I put it into "Eco Mode" last night while I slept. I turned off Always On Display, but nothing else I can immediately think of. Impressive. I can deal with a 24hr watch, but 2-3 days of battery makes it nice for weekend trips because I don't have to pack an extra charger. Not a bad deal for $175. Combine that with the amazing battery life I get from the Note 9, and I'll never have to pack any chargers for Sat-Sun trips. Nice!!

My usage patterns are probably lighter than all those tech reviewers, because many were claiming 1 day of battery life. Which amazes me. How are people using these things?

Toilets are kinda dumb.

Replaced a toilet ring tonight on a flange that was over 1/2" from the floor. Worse, it was crooked. It was PVC glued inside the pipe so it'd be very difficult to remove. It's on top of concrete, and we just used some cheap 1/8" vinyl tile for the floor. We had a small leak because even the wax was spread too thin since the flange was so damn high (it was a 1/2" flange to begin with, they probably figured we'd install real tile or at least a subfloor or something). It also caused a slight rock, making that paper thin wax seal worthless. I couldn't install anything waxless either, because then the toilet wouldn't sit to the floor.

I had no other choice than to raise the toilet by 3/8" by adding 3 freaking layers of that same vinyl tile underneath it. I'll cut around it when I'm sure it's working well and hide it with white caulk. I can always remove 1/8" if I went back to wax, but since it was crooked and I wanted to avoid extra stress on the flange and possible rocking, I went with a foam ring instead, and that works better when the flange is a little short.

So this was my first time dealing with seating a toilet, and man, what a stupid system to seal shit water and nasty sewer gases. Or maybe I'm just that ignorant (probably). You'd think we'd have thought of something better by now.
