Bar with a large bar menu including specialty drinks. Normally I like this place, a lot but be aware you might be kicked out for no reason (after they get paid and tips) ....Happened to me, standing in the bar and suddenly on tall guy kicked me and a friend out, while the rest of our ~15 friends looked like big questionmarks. Why? My friend and I were standing in the bar having normal conversation with some other friends. Two guys threw us out, while talking with one of the guys, he explained that he had no explanation to why we were kicked out, only that the other guy wanted us out. No-one deserve the treatment we got and I expect an explanation and apology from The Tippler Management.

Cool bar in meatpacking. Much more casual and relaxed than other spots. Weeknights this is the tech hangout (Google offices are across the street). Weekends you get some locals and bridge and tunnelers. It gets crowded and loud. The drinks are good. Food menu is small and nothing special. A nice place to start the night.

The Tippler is amazing. From the entrance to the artsy installations along the underground journey to the cellar-like temple to cocktails you discover. The All-Nighter rocked my world with its blend of George Dickel No. 8 Whisky, cacao, blackberry, Cointreau and lemon.

There's something about this cozy subterranean bar below Chelsea Market that makes it the place we want to spend every cold winter night. Enjoy expertly crafted cocktails and great people watching.

My go-to spot for after office hours. Have had great times going with a big group on a Saturday night, though there's a line most of the time. And have also had a very lovely time going in a date during the week with my boyfriend. Good atmosphere and drinks and apps.

Very easy to miss as it is below ground inside a building. Can usually find it by the number of people waiting outside or the bouncer standing outside. Feels like an old school pub inside. Drinks are on point and vibe was great. Would recommend.

I guess we hit it on an off night, but before dinner on a Saturday night, there was no crowd and the bar was nice and relaxing. The beer list is not very extensive, but the cocktails are great. Loved the spice level and strong favors in them. Service was quick and we were able to get drinks and make our dinner reservation quickly.
