I wish to share this first-hand experience of Vrindavan Holi to ALERT other women about molestation by local men . Apparently they were all following the age-old tradition when Krishna teased Radha and her friends on Holi and many stories and songs were written about them. But I am sure Krishna wouldn’t have grabbed, groped and outraged the modesty of Radha and her friends!

The bold and dramatic colours on the houses and the various faces from different part of the world made me walking on the streets for few hours before I decided to stop and have a coffee at Panji Inn to relax my muscles.

The twinkling of bells hanging from the pine tree is a memory that would stay in my mind for long. It was the sound of calmness in the mountains, a sound of being at home. Away from the city life, its heat and rush, gazing at sunset in mountains, I am contemplating how a dream home should be like? I think it should be something like ‘Mir Bahay’.

I was wondering if I would get to watch Ramleela in a city where Sikhism is the religion in majority. I enquired about the places where I could see Ramleela in the city and as luck would have it, a pass magically arrived to me from a well-wisher, and the rest is the photo story :)

Spiti Valley is a desert mountain valley located high in the Himalaya mountains in the north-eastern part of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The name “Spiti” means “The Middle Land”, the land between Tibet and India which possess a distinctive Buddhist culture. I conducted a photography tour to Spiti last year with Spiti Holidays Adventure. Here are my five best picks from the trip-

To Hindus, the Narmada is one of the seven holy rivers of India. It is believed that a dip in any of these seven rivers washes one’s sins away. The pilgrims gathered on the banks of Narmada to light the lamps, perform cleansing ceremonies and begin their 3 years and 3 months long parikrama (circumambulation) across the River Narmada.

Did you ever wake up at 4 am to knock at the doors of someone for an early morning shoot ? Well, There was practically no door, since we were shooting nomads who made a temporary home for themselves by the road. But we reached there before dawn, when most of the people were still were under the blankets and some were warming themselves by firewood . Here I am sharing a cup of tea with nomads of Gujarat, who earn their livelihood by selling iron stoves #Gujarat #nomads #travelphotos

On 14th Nov, 2016 skywatchers across the world celebrated the glorious supermoon . Meanwhile, Hindu devotees in India celebrated the event by conducting cleansing rituals by the sacred rivers like Narmada. Full moon energy is powerful and intense, which means the vibes you generate during the occasion would be heightened. While I was celebrating the Super moon festival in Maheshwar.

Meghalaya has been known for its beauty, living root bridges and Khasi culture. It is also an inspiration to many other societies/states for its unique matrilineal society. Women and girls have a special standing in the society and, of course, this exceptional role produces a great deal of self-confidence in them. Here is a photo story from the beautiful hills of Meghalaya.
