Wednesdays harvest. Those early September highs ~{85° F} have my plants making up a lot of ground for sure.

Labor Day morning harvest. Even the Yuengling Lager could be described as homegrown as the original brewery is located 17 miles away.

Hard to pick out but in the lower left hand of the photo is the first praying mantis spotted thus season. He must be a youngin as a very green color helps him blend in with the better boy tomato plant.

Anybody care to question the ability of this handyman ?
Hard enough to get two wires under one screw. He did it four times. Not to mention the box fill overload of all this copper in a 1 7/8" plastic octagon box. Jezzz.

The warm weather {~81°F} and weekly thunderstorms have the strobiles coming along nicely.

Happy days are here again. Last nights modest harvest, first of the year. Both varieties are destined for tonights pasta salad.

The last 24 hours the strobiles have started to appear on all the vines. Thursday's afternoon thunderstorms provided a much need watering.

Accidental sunflower patch. Seeds that dropped out of the feeder conveniently took root filling in ivy that February's brutal cold ruined. Not that you can keep ivy at bay very long. But a nice change of pace for the alleyway.

Fourth of July. The hops are growing like gangbusters. A weekly rain soaking and above average temperatures must do the trick !
