Congressman Francisco "Quico" Canseco's posts

It has been a privilege and honor to serve the people of the 23rd District of Texas in the United States House of Representatives in the 112th Congress for the past two years.  I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to serve as your voice in Congress, and I thank you for giving me the opportunity.

Election day has finally arrived so remember to exercise one of the greatest privileges we have as Americans and go vote! Polls are open all day!

I was honored to receive a Friends of the Farm Bureau Recognition at the Uvalde Farm Bureau annual meeting. I've worked hard fighting burdensome and unnecessary regulations from the Environmental Protection Agency that hinder the many farms and ranches within the 23rd District. Agriculture has been an integral part of America since our founding, and it's important that we continue to maintain an environment that allows it to thrive.

I was honored to receive the American Conservative Union’s Conservative Award. I've worked hard to advance the principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, individual freedom, and family values. In a time when our country is stagnant and our debt has topped $16 trillion, it is critical that we shrink the size of government and rein in our out-of-control spending.
