I stayed here for a weekend for a convention, and I must say I was very impressed by both the hotel itself and the staff. I had friendly service and my room was clean and the hotel was quiet, despite being close to O'Hare. My bad experiences actually occurred after I had left. I was leaving in a hurry, and I forgot some clothes in my room (I know, stupid me). I called them ASAP after I realized I had forgotten my items, and the person on the phone (Mary) was not polite and was very flippant about my plight, showing their true colors. To my amazement, they were able to find my items and send them to me a week after the event. I was thrilled...and I was going to rate them a five star experience for going above and beyond the call of duty. However, to my disappointment, only two of my five items I forgot were returned. The other items somehow "were gone." While I'm grateful for them returning two of my items, I didn't get everything back. Hence, a three start rating.

An a 1960s concrete construction that has been thoroughly updated. The center rooms do get a bit of noise due to the open concept. However, the quiet rooms are in the turrets. The beds are all very new and very nicely supportive. Electrical and usb sockets are all throughout the room and on both sides of the bed (so nice). The elevators are glass and are surprisingly quick. I am so used to the slow ones else where. Breakfast is $18 buffett but it is the nice kind with made to order omelets and other tasty and healthy fresh treats. The conference facilities are nice made even more so by the staff that trys hard to ensure you stay clean but not interrupted. All in all, it is a wonderful place to get stuck with a delay. The airport shuttle runs every 15 minutes 24 hours a day.

Nicely appointed room and excellent proximity to shopping and night life. Wonderful convention staff and overall atmosphere. Will stay here again if we need to be near O'hare.

I was not impressed. You walk in and are immediately amazed by how nice and pretty everything is and then you get to the people. Most were very nice and helpful and others were just there to be pretty and not helpful at all. This is not a family hotel. There is nothing for the kids to do at all. No pool, no free breakfast. My towel bar was falling off the wall when we arrived, The balcony was dirty from previous occupants. When leaving I clearly needed a cart and asked for one and was told I would need to go to the bell boy... seriously... I have to go get help when you have a cart right there and I need help now? Not very hospitable. Parking at 25 per night is insane also. Seems like they are trying to be fancy without actually treating their guests well.

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency because of it's proximity to O' Hare and their park.sleep and fly option. I was pleasantly surprised by their friendly and helpful check in staff. The room was comfortable, and quiet, with a smallish bath room. The dining/ bar had a lounge like warm atmosphere and friendly bartenders/ waiters. The food was not over the top but good at a fair price. The covered parking was a breese and was attached to the hotel. The shuttles to O'Hare run every 15 minutes. I highly recommend this hotel for a park, sleep and fly! I have booked again for this March.

I have stayed at Hyatts worldwide the pricing is typical throughout and the food is great. All have been exeptional! Nicole L. get a life the pricing is very typical of this quality of a hotel. Maybe a motel would be a better choice for you. Overall Hyatt does it right....keep up the great work love you guys.

I really liked this hotel, the inside is very unique. The beds and rooms are very nice. We stayed here for three days and the rooms were cleaned and put together very well each day. The restaurant in the open area is good and has a buffet. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Typically Hyatts are my first choice for hotels if they are available, so I had no doubts this would be an incredible experience. Before I become very negative, there are some good things. First, it's a beautiful hotel and the elevators are pretty interesting, along with the decor. Staff are also polite and caring if not under pressure. Since this review is a one star the experience was not incredible and I was horribly wrong. I thought we'd get a free breakfast (like you do at any other Hyatt), and that was incorrect. Instead they charge $10-$15 for a decent breakfast ala cart. Or if you don't like that you can pay $18.50 (per person, all you can eat) for the breakfast bar, $18.50 for the lunch bar and $22.00 for the dinner bar. The prices are insane for food and it wasn't worth it at all considering they were serving standard food that costs so much less at the surrounding restaurants. Instead of getting a fridge (like we do at any other Hyatt) we received a loaded fridge full of items we had absolutely no interest in. Moving this items resulted in being charged. Fantastic, now we had nowhere to put leftovers from going out! Or any way to buy breakfast and store it for morning. $25 for parking per night is outrageous and they actually ran out of spots. I was told by other guests that people were leaving their cars anywhere they could. Our single king room was cramped and horrible, unlike any other room I've had in a Hyatt. This experience was incredibly disappointing and I highly recommend choosing a different hotel. This Hyatt gives other Hyatt Regencies a bad time, sorry to say.
