Big hotel quality service. Rooms are a bit dated but nice. Lobby bar is active on the weekends. Lots of conferencece space and a good place for work meetings if flying to a central point. Connected to the convention center with free airport shuttles.

Only complaint is having to go out of our way to get more towels and such, but not a big deal. Loved the seamless connection of convention and hotel.

The rooms and service were great and the event was fun but, everythkng was extremely over priced and the hotel staff were kind of rude. I found a bad that someone had lost and went to turn it in at the lost and found and they told me just to keep it. Not to mention to eat any meal there was way way over priced. I was asked to pay 3 dollars for a can of soda. I paid extremely steep prices to stay there plus 45 dollars to park which is insane. I have stayed at hotels that were twice as nice as this for a quarter of the cost and complementory breakfazt lunch and dinner with free alcoholic beverages. They wanted 15 dollars per drink at their bar. This hotel was very bad for the price i paid and will not be staying again if i dont have to.

An okay Hyatt hotel. There was a number of cons but they had their own pros. First con was that the room was a little smallet than other Hyatt's. There wasn't a pool, and the flush handle for the toilet was a pull down lever in public bathrooms. However, the lobby was nice and the room and a classy look. They also added a microwave which was nice.

I'm giving four stars because it was a really noisy hotel and I got the sense that it's used mostly by conventions, people stranded at O'Hare, and people who want to party. The lobby and adjacent/incorporated bar were busy, even near midnight, and the noise just echoes through the lobby/atrium. The room was quiet enough, though, and attractive, and quite comfortable. My neighbors were there to PARTY and the hotel wasted no time in sending a security guy to tell them to shut up. Overall it was a fine experience, courtesy of American Airlines, and it's not really my kind of hotel (too busy, no free breakfast). If you like big, busy, and fancy, you'll love it.

I had a king bed room in th north weat tower on the 10th floor. Good view, excellent room. The elevators were fast, even with the anime midwest convention going on there. Service quickly delt with long lines at check in and check out. Microwave was in the hall by ice machine far from the room and was so small it was basically useless, only thing qrong with the entire stay.

I have stayed in bad hotels run by competent people, and I have stayed in good hotels ran by icompetent personnel. I am afraid to say that this one falls in to the second category. I took them an eternity to find the reservation, (even when I gave the the confirmation numbers, and even showed them the emails) all the while telling me that I didn't have one, or that maybe I had a wrong hotel. After finding it, they then proceeded to tell me that despite me having proof of the reservation since the reservation was in the name of someone else in my party (who was parking the car) they couldn't proceed with checking me until we had the person physically present. I usually never put reservations in a name other than mine, but do to auto fill settings in the device I was using I filled it with the name of someone else. I can only image how the whole situation would have turned out if that person hadn't been in the trip, instead of using any shred of common sense and seeing that I shared the same last name and I had all the corresponding confirmation numbers and emails they wouldn't budge. To make matters worse I had to wait hours while they found parking as their badly designed parking garage was completely full, with multiple cars taking more than one place, due to confusing markings and narrow spaces. To cap it off, the staff was discourteous, and unwilling to use any common sense to solve a matter so simply that any clerk at a motel 6 could have figured out (not a diss at motel 6,as I probably would have had a better experience with them had I stayed there instead).

We had an excellent experience... especially bell hop Rich Kusak who helped us navigate to the room, park in the appropriate location and generally made us feel special and welcomed. I was traveling with my 92 &1/2 year old Mother and Rich helped us tremendously and had the patience to help navigate a 92 year old in a walker through the vast number of wings and floors. Rich has been with the Hyatt for 45 years and the Hyatt is lucky to have him. Thank you Rich!
