Restoring old photographs, furniture, or automobiles can be a fun and even creative hobby. Restoring health to a place where growth can begin again is a good thing. However, when we are trying to restore something, like a relationship or tradition, because we think the current one is broken, needs to be fixed, and because life was less stressful the way it was, that is always a formula for more pain. God is always creating, always transforming, always doing something new. Sometime the process of creation looks like destruction. Listen as I explain:

I am a man who has done things that I am not proud of. However, if you go looking for me because you have things to say to me about who I was then, you won’t find me. I don’t live there anymore. Self-forgiveness is the greatest gift you can give to humanity! It does not serve the world for you to live in the energies of regret, guilt, and shame. Stop living in the past–it no longer exists! Have you ever received a "random" compliment from someone, perhaps a total stranger? Has someone appeared in your life to help you with something at the perfect time, even though you had not told anyone you needed help? On one level, the person who gave you the compliment wanted to say something nice to you, and the person who helped you noticed a need and decided to help, on a human level. On another level, however, it was God complimenting you and approving of you, and helping you. The people involved were just the channels of Divine communication. Listen as I explain:

Mark Twain said "It ain't what you don't know that gets you in trouble; it's what you know for sure that just ain't so." It can rock your world to discover what you thought was true isn't. For example, the solid ground you are standing on isn't solid at all; it's just vibrating energy. You may be judging someone for behaving a certain way. What would it do to your perspective to discover that person may have a valid reason for behaving that way. Let's all learn to walk on water. Listen as I explain:

Most of us like to be around people who are good at expressing gratitude. We like to give more to people who express gratitude back to us. We know that, when we are feeling grateful, we feel good. Science has proven what mystics, philosophers, and spiritual teachers have been telling us for millennia--gratitude is good for our health! Listen as I explain:

We typically do not want to wear our clothes inside out. However, I think we should live our lives inside out! Our society has taught us to live outside in, meaning living in such a way as to bring things, people, love, appreciation, validation, etc., from outside of us into our experience of life. This leaves us always looking for the next thing, the next relationship, etc. to make us feel more significant. Safe, secure, significant, loved is what we already are. The things of our life should be expressions of self worth, not the cause of it. Listen as I explain:

Are you a person who likes to set goals? Why do you set the goals you do? Do you write them out? Most people set goals by looking at what they have now and then adding a little increase to it. Then they make a bullet list that shows the category and the new goal. It's a very dry, unimaginative process. You should be enthusiastic about your goals because they are an expression of who you are becoming. They should be creative. You should live them out like you are acting out the script of a play! Listen as I explain:

I had the wonderful honor of being the celebrant at a wedding recently. The bride and groom wrote their own vows to pledge themselves to each other and to express the significance of this event. Even while they were speaking their vows, I knew I would be sharing them to encourage and inspire you to love more deeply. Listen as I explain:

What is your fantasy? What is it that you imagine, ponder, day-dream about? Is it a happy fantasy in which you become the fullest expression of who you were created to be and you add great value to the world just by being who you were meant to become? If not, that’s what I suggest you fantasize about. Let that be your dominant image of yourself. We tend to become what we spend most of our time thinking about. Fantasize about joy, fulfillment, and abundance! Listen as I explain:
